We love this place!! Every time we come to Elkhorn to visit family, we hit up Stillwater a few times while in town. Favorite is the honey oatmilk latte. Favorite seasonal drink, the pumpkin spice latte - made with REAL pumpkin purée. THE BEST!

I adore this shop. Great drinks, great atmosphere, and the owner is so sweet.
The soups are always fantastic, and the quiche is unmatched!

Attended a wedding/bridal shower. Facility was very impressive and the food was great.

Really a step above the rest of the coffee joints in town. Lots of space, it was relatively packed but I the distance between the tables was enough that the conversation I was having still felt private and I couldn't hear what anyone else's conversations were about. I also saw a cat in the parking lot.

Pour over for the Mrs. and a cold brew for me. Coffee is tasty. Building is gorgeous. Even the bathrooms! Met the owner and had a friendly chat. Comfy and cozy.

The quiche was really good. Had a white chocolate macadamia nut iced coffee as well. Staff was very helpful.

Nice to be able to sit outside for lunch on the deck. While menu is small, all food is made to order and fresh. Definitely worth a stop on RT 12.

This little spot caught our attention on the way to Lake Geneva and after a quick check of their website, we knew we wanted to make a stop on the return trip home (my husband and I fully believe in and support craft, fair trade coffee businesses). The interior was relaxing and inviting, and so was the owner. Hubby ordered a pour over and I ordered a 12oz capp. The reasons we give it 3 stars...
When hubs inquired about the bean options for a pour over, he was told they had "dark, medium and light roast." It would have been more helpful to know the bean variety/origin (i.e. - Yirgacheffe/Ethiopia). I mention this specifically because the owner took the time to research coffee roasters and selected their product based on the ethics and quality of their beans. We hoped she would have been eager to pass on her knowledge; that's how customers learn more about their beans and get excited about craft coffee! That being said, my husband ordered the "dark" roast which was pleasantly balanced and aromatic.
I was eager to try the cappuccino based on the photos I saw on the website: hand-pulled shots of espresso and classic latte art. The milk to espresso ratio in the 12oz cup tasted more like a latte than a cappuccino and the foam was very frothy. However, the espresso was smooth with no bitter bite or aftertaste. It would be helpful to have an honest product representation on the website, rather than images that are likely stock photos.
But kudos to you, Stillwater, for introducing your community to craft coffee! We wish you much success and if we ever pass through Elkhorn again, we'll be sure to check back in.
