Chequamegon Family Restaurant

Local spot for traditional breakfast/ lunch fare. Portions were huge! We ate too much, but it was good.

They do a great job with breakfast. I had the pancakes and my wife had french toast. Both were delicious and obviously made from scratch. There's something in the French toast batter that we couldn't put a finger on (I don't think it was vanilla) but raised it above the typical version you get in most restaurants.

Ended up leaving shortly after arriving because the waitresses weren't wearing masks and we didn't feel safe or comfortable staying there. While my husband and I were debating on if we should stay our waitress was talking to the table behind us about all the people in the town that have tested positive and made a comment about the mask mandate confirming my thoughts that there is a mask mandate. We are visiting the area and stopped in because a previous review said that they take COVID seriously so I felt obligated to share that it seems to no longer be the case. I wish there was a way to leave a comment without leaving a star rating since we did not eat there.

From the outside you would think it's just your average family restaurant. It is not. The food was great and the service was just as good. Great place to stop if your heading east/west on US 2 and are looking for fresh, tasty food from a menu that features everything from burgers and sandwiches to full meals like chicken fettuccine and lasagna. They obviously care about the food they make as much as the people they serve it to. Keep up the good work!

I had dinner here and breakfast the next morning. The food and service were absolutely excellent! We were a party of 4 and everyone was pleased with their meals. I don't want to fail to mention this place was CLEAN! This is a must stop if you're ever in the area!!!

Food was out quick however it was not very tasty. Beef with barley soup looked like stew. Roast beef open face sandwich had dry mashed potatoes and what tasted like canned gravy. The Philly sandwich had dry meat. Would not eat there again.

This place is fantastic. I have eaten here for breakfast 4 or 5 times. Each time the same -- ample portions and delicious. I don't know what more one could want from a family restaurant -- for me it exceeds my expectations every single time.

Very nice! Went for the first time in years for Friday fishfry had the fish tacos they were to die for! Very clean and the service was excellent! A super friendly staff! *****

The food was excellent. The staff are not very friendly though. No enthusiasm. Not very pleasant place to eat.

We eat here often. The food is tasty and flavorful. Nice choice of desserts except on Wed because the next shipment of fresh homemade desserts are arriving that evening. The staff is very nice, friendly, attentive and make you feel at home.
