This is an adorable shop on the main strip in Thomas, WV, a cute little railroad town we ran into after a weekend camping trip. The coffee was phenomenal! However, as an out of towner trying this coffee for the first time, I expected a bit more friendliness and welcoming demeanor from the staff. The girl who took my order seemed annoyed and impatient that I asked what her recommendations or favorite coffee was so that I could try something new. I feel strongly that the attitude of the staff makes or breaks a place--it contributes so much to the environment overall. Maybe everyone was having a bad day, or maybe they hate their jobs? Either way, it's unpleasant to visit somewhere new, spend your money, and feel like a nuisance.

10/10 coffee, muffin, and bagel, service could really improve.

A spectacular shop in a quaint historic district. These ladies know their teas and are well versed in blends, presentation, steeping, etc. And an added treat…they offer vegan and gluten free dessert options! Worth the trip!

Lovely place. Visited twice in the past week. Great service, delicious lattes, and desserts. Especially keto ones are fantastic and a nice surprise to find them. Highly recommend!

The best coffee you can get in West Virginia! The food was fresh and cakes were delicious. They have a really friendly staff. I wish they could open more branches in other places!

Cute little coffee shop with quite a few Gluten free options as well! The GF peanutbutter cheesecake bar was SO GOOD!

Only down side is my latte tasted burnt - not sure if they burnt the milk on mine but my Husband's latte was amazing. Everything else was great

Decided to spend the long weekend
in WV and stopped at this cafe based on the online reviews; and boy did the place live up to its reputation! Their lavender mocha and hot chocolate were PERFECT! We stayed for 3 days and a morning visit to Tiptop became a ritual. Also their pastries are melt-in-mouth-delicious!!

Love this place. They sell great coffee with organic and fair trade blends. We came on Friday for burger night, it was amazing. The burger was the best I've ever had mainly because its local grass fed beef. While eating the cattle farmer and his family came in to get a burger. Locals enjoy this place and everyone is friendly. They serve coffee, food, and have a full bar.

Still my favorite coffee shop/cocktail bar... and I've been everywhere :) pour over coffee, full espresso bar, cider, SPIRIT tea, liquor & delicious high quality pastries made by Carrie- co-owner. All beverages are prepared with care & the [Spirit] tea is served properly, with a timer. Also, not overpriced for the quality, especially considering the rural location.

Good selection of na beer (and regular beer).

We recently spent several days in the area to hike. We stopped here our first morning and never went to another coffee shop. The espresso and coffee drinks are expertly made with high quality (and organic) ingredients. We had pumpkin spice and vanilla lattes and mochas, all of which were excellent. They have a small selection of pastries and baked goods. All of them that we tried were delicious, especially the pumpkin muffin with espresso frosting (we made a special trip back just to get another one for road). This is a gem of a shop in a cool, funky little town that makes a perfect base camp for hiking.
