This a cute and special place that are not around much anymore. The art of making special coffees and teas is great. Owner was very friendly and knowledgeable

I was never a fan of gourmet drinks until my wife took me to Lost Dog. They have such a unique assortment of delicious looking desserts and drinks, it's difficult to want to try something new. We usually each get a no sweetener added latte. Those things are so strong, yet so smooth. We went to Savannah (the old town) and tried numerous different coffee places and none could match Lost Dog in Shepherdstown. This a great local business!

I already know the owner is going to tell me all the reasons I'm wrong for writing this review because he told us all the reasons we were wrong for what we ordered.

After being ignored for 10 minutes by both employees we ordered very simple drinks which the man working made very grudgingly.

Seems like he's built a business model around being just a tad angry at all times which is not my preference.

Went there and got 2 drinks, one coffee and one smoothie. 13.90 was a little bit ridiculous for both of those, and not having prices and saying it’s due to not wanting to adhere to corporate standards doesn’t make much sense to me. Not to mention the coffee was eh, though the smoothie was decent. I think prices or at least a base price would help because not everyone has the money to get coffee like that all the time.

I ordered the Lemon Turbo Coffee Sour. It’s the most unique coffee combination I've ever had. It’s such a surprising combination and was light and refreshing on a hot day!

My family, friends and I have had countless cups of coffee from this place and most were good. The customer service, however is just bad way too often (as you can see from the other poor reviews). The owner/barista just pounces on every person that doesn’t agree with him, spews his rage and tells them to never come back because he doesn’t need their business. Great business model. He also refuses to make the same elaborate drinks he personally makes part of his menu because he doesn’t have time. He’s clearly burned out.
The hefty drink prices are not worth what you have to go through to get them.

Too good for our money and no respect for our time. Let us wait in line for 15 minutes and when we get to the front of the line they informed us that they had been trying to close for 15 minutes. (Next time tell people before they wait in line). We'll get our coffee elsewhere.

I was really looking forward to trying this coffee shop based on other reviews. I thought there was a spot inside to eat but there are no tables inside. You must order from the window outside even if you are inside and no one is waiting outside. Staff was rude and not helpful. Coffee ok.

It's always the shops that are tucked away that are the best! Was on a trip all the way from Baltimore and decided to stop here before going to Antietam.

Let's just say I wish I lived closer to this place now. As a barista of 2 years, I can tell when someone is very talented and this is the work of a very skilled barista who knows their way around both coffee and tea! Kudos to the owner for one of the best lattes I've had in a long time. Super chill vibe 😌
