The BEST breakfast sandwiches! Great service with a smile. Awesome patio area with a view. Decaf Soy Latte was spot on. If in Harpers Ferry, Battle Grounds Bakery is a must!

This is the best coffee spot in downtown! I’ve been to both and this spot is so much better but just on top of the hill. They have a bunch of breakfast food options as well which were great! The atmosphere is adorable and the staff was super helpful!

We visited this coffee shop on a fairly quiet Tuesday morning after Memorial Day. There was not another customer in sight. There were two employees working, one appeared to be prepping sandwich fixings, the other was prepping stuff for smoothies. Neither one of them greeted us. We waited for about three minutes and finally one of the employees said, “someone will be right with you”. Both employees went on prepping ingredients for the day. Neither appeared to be working with on an actual order, or doing anything that was immediately pressing. I’d decided after about three more minutes that I wasn’t going to order anything. My husband at this point had already opened a can of seltzer water and taken a drink. When one of the employees finally came over to help us, my husband paid for the can of seltzer ($3!) and also opted not to order anything. We had planned on getting a pastry, sandwich, coffees, and a smoothie. But I don’t like to to give my dollars to businesses that operate in this way. It was almost as if the employees could not be bothered with us. I don’t need to be doted on, but I believe it’s important to acknowledge customers and to put aside tasks you’re working on in order to help them in a somewhat timely fashion. It’s always what I did when I worked food service. It’s a shame for the business, which I know likely relies on tourism for a large portion of their revenue, and also for the employees, because we are good tippers.

The food here was phenomenal! I had the Screaming Jenny! It was really full of heat, just what you would expect when you read the description on the menu. My wife enjoyed the chickpea salad. They were very accommodating when we asked for lite sugar in the fresh squeezed lemonade. This place really hit the spot for lunch on the hot day we visited.

This was my first stop after arriving via the Amtrak to Harper's Ferry. With such a large & vast menu, there is something for everyone to try and LOVE! However, the staff is what truly brought forth the best possible experience! I will forever suggest this adorable little coffee shop to everyone who asks me about Harper's Ferry!

We were in Harpers Ferry over Memorial Day Weekend and stopped in to pick up a couple of sandwiches and drinks for a picnic. The shop was absolutely slammed (line to the door), but the ladies behind the counter couldn't have been kinder or more patient. The sandwiches were delicious and generously portioned, and the fresh squeezed lemonade was perfect for a post-hike refreshment! We visit Harpers Ferry a few times a year to hike, and will definitely be back in. Thanks for the wonderful customer service.

My sister and I stayed in Harper's Ferry over the weekend for my birthday! Battle Grounds Bakery was the first place we came to after coming off the train. It was a very warm, calm, and welcoming environment. Fair warning, it is a small shop in itself, so if there are a lot of people inside, you might get bumped, but everyone's very friendly so it's not something I worried about. Will definitely be back next time I"m in town!

Great little breakfast place. Enjoyed my coffee and the sandwich was really good.

Stopped in here after coming off the AT on a hot day. Heat had us not wanting food so we went the smoothie route. Wife had strawberry banana and I chose the green monster - spinach, avocado, mango and banana. Both were delicious and perfect refresher to hike weary bodies.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Next time we are in Harper's Ferry we'll stop by and grab something more substantial.

I love this place so much, as an employee in Harpers Ferry coffee is very important to me, these lovely ladies remember my order and make everyone feel just as welcome in this town as I do. Not only can they make an OUTSTANDING Chai tea latte, but they have excellent people skills and that's probably one of the most important triats to have especially in a town that sees 400+ people a day. Their problem solving skills with costumers and making sure each order ia correct is top tier. The prices are fair and the food is amazing! The perfect place to stop in and soak up this beautiful part of history with what should be an award winning latte ♥️
