Battle Grounds Bakery & Coffee

Huge chef salad. Big glass of lemonade. Nice chocolate milk shake. Fair prices within the context of Harper's Ferry eateries. What's not to like ? !

Glad I'm local and I can go back anytime. Parking sucks, but that's just historic Harpers Ferry. Great coffee, great sandwiches for breakfast or lunch. We ate outside. Super tasty.

This review is only for the coffee . . . adorable little place, but quite possibly the worst coffee that I've ever paid for. I was told that they only have one roast (light) which was a little surprising for me considering they have both coffee and grounds in their name!

Lovely little coffee house in downtown Harper's Ferry. Service was quick and friendly.

FRAUD! STAY AWAY!
I would give this place zero stars if I could.

Immediately after visiting the bakery, my card information was used to make over $1,000 worth of fraudulent purchases. It was clearly this cafe because I didn’t use my card anywhere else and it was immediately after I left the cafe.

The actual cafe itself was unclean. Two young female baristas behind the counter (without masks) were fairly rude. The food looked days old. The coffee was stale diner coffee and still cost $7! AND THEN THEY CHARGED MY CARD!

WE ARE ON VACATION, WHAT IF WE NEEDED THE MONEY ON MY CARD TO GET HOME?

While waiting for the restaurant next-door to open, my husband and I went into this thinking it was a little shop. To our surprise it had a menu. Everything was so fresh. Chef salad was excellent and my husband could not stop raving about his sandwich (the Mountain Top). That being said, let’s talk about the lemonade. I’ve never tasted such a heavenly drink. It wasn’t too sweet, was mixed perfectly, cold and refreshing! So glad we stumbled into Battle Grounds!

Can't recommend this cafe enough! Delicious food, helpful staff, and gorgeous views. You have to try the grilled cheese (with ham) or the chickpea salad! You will not regret it! A must for anyone visiting the area to take in the beautiful sights and sounds of Harper's Ferry.

It's a cool ambiance and concept with the specialty hot chocolates, but the drink just wasn't good. Poured it out. Hard to pour out though considering the prices are so high - higher than Starbucks! $15 for two drinks and a pastry is nuts!

Delicious food and coffee and friendly staff! The cinnamon buns and fresh-baked bread are amazing! Great place to stop in for breakfast or lunch after a day of hiking and exploring Harpers Ferry.

I've been to Harpers Ferry to hike a few times but never visited any of the local spots in town. Stopped here for a breakfast sandwich and coffee after a long hike and it was exactly what I needed. Definitely stopping by Battle Grounds every time I make the drive out to Harpers Ferry!
