Cathedral Cafe & Book Store

My wife and I stopped here while visiting the New River Gorge area. We love shopping old bookstores.The Cathedral Cafe and Bookstore is a very unique shop and a must see. Situated in an old church in downtown Feyetteville WV. Very friendly staff and clean facility.

What a gem of a place. The food and beverages were fantastic and everyone was so friendly. The menu is very vegetarian and vegan friendly and they have an extensive beverage menu + alcoholic drinks. I got a black coffee and the veggie panini which was delicious and my friend got a chai latte and the SMAQ Quesadilla which she raved about. There were so many other things on the menu I wanted to try but will have to wait until my next time I visit the area! The seating area is rather small and they get very busy (understandable) but is worth the wait. Also, visit the small retail area upstairs!

What a lovely treat this place is! We had lunch here, then came back the next morning for breakfast.

Everything was great! Loved the place. I would recommend the french toast here.

Wonderful atmosphere surrounded by books, art, and many other accessories is the backdrop for this delicious cafe. Service was excellent and a very friendly staff. We had the evenings special of spaghetti and meatballs. The noodles were cooked perfectly and served along side 2 huge meatballs with so much flavor.
Let's talk about dessert...OMG, ricotta cheesecake with mixed berry compote. I could write a book on just the compote!!!! Cheesecake was done to perfection. My boyfriend had the house made carrot cake with caramel drizzle and he was in food nirvana just like me. Don't pass up this little gem in beautiful Fayetteville

The wait was short for two people, even over a busy holiday weekend (our table could have seated four). I got the vegan tofu scramble with pumpernickel toast and a chai latte made with soy milk. All good. Polite staff handled the crowds well.

It is weird how you wait for a table and then order at the counter, but that's a minor detail. I enjoyed the food though it was a bit cold. The coffee was excellent. The bookstore could use more books though. I found a surprising lack of books for sale in a place that claims to be a bookstore.

Really good food and biscuits. Had a great time with my young kids too. Such a beautiful place.

You might miss it if you didn't have google maps. The place has character and charm. Staff are friendly. Food is great. Nice variety on the menu. Check out the gift shop upstairs.

Are here majority of our trip to New River Gorge National Park. Delicious! The food was fresh and had great flavor. Highly recommend.
