Trailhead Coffee Shop

We came to this shop on purpose because we wanted to see what all the fuss was about in the reviews re: the two rude baristas. We were greeted by a lovely young lady who chatted with us about hiking trails. She was happy to chat with us while she made our coffees and wished us well on our travels.

3 stars for the the drinks- they’re just fine, but one additional star for our barista.

Nice alternative to our regular stop in the area. Good selection and prices are good for the region.
Downside is that there is no real place to sit so you'll need to prepare to take your order with you.

Good coffee, good service, in a fun part of WV to explore. Recommended!

Husband and I stopped here for coffee the few days we were staying near Davis. We both got the house drip with oat milk and were very pleased with how smooth and tasty it was - not bitter at all. As mentioned in other reviews, the baristas didn't seem very pleased when we walked in the door, but both seemed appreciative of our business as we were leaving. It was a bit strange, but the coffee (and price!) was good enough for us to keep coming back.

Instead of being grateful for patrons; We were all but a Nuesence.

Good setting and seating. Only been here once. Coffee was fine. Server was having a bad day I guess. But nice place to for coffee break on your trip around the area.

While Passing through Davis on our way out of Canaan Valley WV, we stopped in Trailhead Coffee Shop. Service was great! Coffees were absolutely wonderful! Son got danish and donuts, they were good. This is a really nice coffee shop to try especially after hiking when you need a true pick me upper! Enjoy!

After a wonderful 4 day mountain getaway, we all wanted to try this coffee shop. The sign on the door stated, 5 customers at a time, and must wear masks. We entered and was immediately assailed by a very rude you g man behind the counter. He told us, Only 3 customers at a time. My daughter and I stayed and I asked the price of the bagged coffees. This guy barked, The price is on the back of the bag. My daughter began heading out the door and this guy yelled, well, do you want it or not. I would never go back. We ended up at the coffee shop in Thomas, which was wonderful.

I’m afraid that this place is just plain horrible. The only thing more bitter than my latte was the lady behind the counter. I’ve never felt like more of an inconvenience when visiting a coffee shop.

If anyone would like a great business opportunity, I would suggest opening a coffee shop next door. Just smile and put brown water in a cup and you’ll already be at an advantage.
