Went for the first time today and I am pretty impressed. I find the coffee to be reasonably priced for my college student budget, considering the fact that it is very tasty. The atmosphere is A+, it is a nice space with lots of natural light. They roast the coffee right there which is a cool thing to watch. The workers are really friendly and down to earth, and the music selection was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place.

Initial foray, cappuccino with the house roast, quite good. Pastry selections looked tasty.

Great spot. Barista was super friendly and made an excellent mocha. Highly recommend this place

The atmosphere is nice, great location on 6th Ave too.
They have a special drink, a Mexican Mocha I think, I get it almost every time I'm there.

Haven’t been in a long time, but the space is as lovely as ever. Staff is amazing and there was plenty of seating available. Great place to come to enjoy a coffee. Keep at it.

One of my favorite roasters in the area. Lattes are great and the inside vibe is everything you want from a coffee shop. Just know that if you need Wi-Fi to get some work done for 45mins to an hour while you’re on the go, bring your own hotspot; they don’t offer it anymore thanks to Wi-Fi squatters ruining it for everyone else.

Oh my! I love this coffee, like, really love this coffee. I love this coffee so much I drove 25 minutes to get this coffee the day i wrote this. But not just any coffee, the La Pistola. It's a "spicy Mexican mocha" and it's good. I'm pretty sure it's a mocha with cayenne pepper and maybe some cinnamon, but it's the proportions that I love. Not too sweet, well balanced, and a nice kick at the end. You can usually pick up a growler of premade with oatmilk, if not they have always been more than happy to make one. I like mixing the pre-made with some Kahlua and ice. I usually grab some beans too, like El Capitan.

I went here for a work meeting. Bluebeard has a great ambiance and friendly employees. I thought the chai was really good. All my coworkers liked their respective drinks as well.

Fantastic roaster, a great place to pass an hour (if you can snag a table - it gets busy) and La Pistola mocha (with mole sauce) is a Tacoma must-try.

Bluebeard never fails to impress. The ambiance is perfect for both a quick coffee date or settling in for a hour or so of work. Although they don't have any meal offerings, just a few pastries and light breakfast fare, they are across the street from MSM, the North End's supreme sandwich shop. Beyond the wonderful ambiance, Blue Beard's coffee is fabulous and the baristas are all so friendly! Definitely worth a trip, no matter how long you plan to be there!

I still adore this coffee shop. I've since moved out of Tacoma, but whenever we are in town we make sure to stop by for a coffee and a bag of beans. One of the hardest parts of leaving the 6th Ave neighborhood was leaving our beloved coffee shop. Thanks for creating such an awesome environment!
