I love their horchata con cafe drink. A nice change from a traditional iced coffee. They have yummy avocado toast and a brioche breakfast sandwich too. You can also stop across the hallway and grab a fresh loaf of bread or a pastry from glorious bakery on the way out.

Latte was fine at best. Service was exceptionally slow. 3 people working but mostly talking.
Blueberry muffin was the worst I’ve ever had. Nearly uncooked, extremely dense. Awful.

This place is seriously beyond cute. The colors are bright and happy. They have beautiful plants all around. The coffee is delicious too. I love the seating arrangements. Perfect for a little gathering

Wonderful small batch single origin coffee beans. Aaron, the owner, is an awesome dude and knows his stuff. I'd call Ladder the best roaster in town for sure!

Get the basics down before you expand the menu.
I’ve been in three times and has a disappointing experience with simple beverages each time.
The first time I had the self serve drip and it was over extracted and bitter.
The second time I had a black tea. I was given the hot water and tea bag but not told how long to steep it. I steeped it for 5 minutes and it was still so light I could barely taste it. I brought this up to the barista and he said it was just a light tea. For $5 I want to taste what I’m drinking.
The last time I simply had a poorly pulled shot of espresso. Bitter and one dimensional.
I’d like to try some other items on the menu but I have little hope for them if the basics can’t be handled properly.
EDIT: Eat farts, Aaron.

Good coffee, wonderful relaxing vibes. Creative toast options.

Just found this little gem a few blocks from my house! Never noticed it before. The pour over was perfect black, not bitter at all. The bearclaw was flaky and amazing and from what I can tell is ordered fresh from a local bakery. Fresh roasted and ground coffee either onsite or at a friend's roasting place now t far from the area. A little pricey compared to other coffee shops but well worth it if you love a good cup of joe. Will definitely be frequenting this fine local establishment again and again.

Cremebrulatte & Avacado toast were beautiful & tasty. The music runs a little loud in their room, but you can sit anywhere in the building, including the stairs which come supplied with pillows. There is outside seating on a deck overlooking the beautiful Spokane River canyon (too cold & rainy that day). Clientele seem easy around each other, politely offering to share table but not forcing conversation.
Dont forget to check the other small shops in the building.

Delicious coffee with oatmeal milk (a first for me) in a unique contemporary space. Parking wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be with a double lot to the west of the building. Small balcony out back that will be nice in the Spring.

I seriously love this place. I absolutely love the vibe. The avocado toast is bomb. My only suggestion is for them to have a variety of non-dairy milks. Those animal-based milks are out of style and unhealthy, and oat milk is limited in its reach.
