Great atmosphere and AMAZING food. So much thought and quality in each ingredient and flavor. New favorite spot when I come thru down. Coffee was a 10 out of 10 as well!

Delicious menu, awesome vibes, beautiful staff and they are so friendly. The store is filled with super cool stuff. Seriously check this place out.

I came to Roslyn the first time because I was a fan of the 90's tv series Northern Exposure. I've returned because of Basecamp. Their coffee and breakfast offerings are delicious and filling, but what's even better is the bookstore. I'm becoming more convinced that we need to return to physical media as I reach the age of curmudgeonliness, and to brick and mortar stores as well. A website or digital media outlet will try to steer me according to my past purchases. A well stocked, but not overwhelmingly large bookstore like this allows me to discover new reads that I might have overlooked. Everyone I've spoken to there is friendly and knowledgeable about both the food and the books. In conclusion, you'll be glad you stopped for coffee or just to browse.

Ate dinner downstairs at a local's recommendation. Food was good though my medium rare steak was underdone and under-seasoned. Still, service was friendly even though they were hopelessly understaffed. We enjoyed our time here - just know it's a little like eating in a friend's basement (if your friend offered live music.)

Our family LOVES visiting Books and Bites when in Roslyn. The food is outstanding and the book store is fun. Very family friendly.

Our experience here was close to being a total disappointment.
The service was good even though we disagree with the servers opinion on the quality and quantity of the food.
Long story short:
I wanted to try the $18.00 gumbo. I hate to assume so I clearly asked the server if it was a small or big portion. The server assured me it was a large serving and that it was amazing.
I was served a small shallow dish of 70% white rice and a small portion of gumbo on top of the rice.
My wife laughed when it was served and said I should have ordered 2.
No rolls or bread or side salad included. Just a small shallow dish of white rice and gumbo for $18.00!!!
On top of getting what I consider to be an over priced dish... it lacked any real flavor. I even had them add jalapenos and it still lacked flavor. :(
My wife ordered the BLT and wanted fries but she was told that the deep fryer was too much of a hassle so she had a choice of potato chips. She did like the turkey on the BLT but there was only 2 small pieces of bacon.

Great place to meet friends & catch up. We had drinks & appetizers. Fabulous! You would never know there was a speakeasy, a pleasant surprise!

Got some beers and sat on some benches. There was a live band. Lots of fun. The store is really nice too. There was a cat on a leash.
