Nice combo coffee shop - bookstore. The atmosphere is pleasant, it is seldom crowded, the food is good, coffee is good, selection of outdoor related books is great. They have a coffee shop on the main floor and a restaurant/bar one flight down. The restaurant has a lively trivia night Wednesdays at 6.

I stop here every time I go between Spokane and Seattle, as well as when I head up the Salmon laSac for backpacking. Truly one of the coolest spots around. The books, maps, gear, stickers and snacks are fun to look through and pick out while you are waiting for your order. Hitting this place at happy hour couldn't be better. Beechers Mac and Cheese with Bacon, for less than $10?!?! Best meal you can get between the 2 cities. Drip coffee is cheap and delicious too! Can't recommend this place enough.

My husband and I eat here most weeks, often for Trivia night (which is a hoot, I was reluctant at first, but am now hooked). My first experience was for breakfast, a memorable sandwich, succulent and full flavored, not your run of the mill rendition. Coffee misses the mark, but I'm a snob, and believe I make the best espresso available at home, so ignore my gripe. Dinner in the bar is tasty, ranging from a delightful bean soup to steak (which I've not been impressed by, tough, lacking flavor and overpriced)to exceptional mac n cheese (just try not to flinch too much at the price). The bartender serves up some tasty concoctions, and participates in the fun of Trivia night, by attempting to taunt the crowd with verbal distractions. A very fun place to spend an evening. Upstairs; books, maps, treats, revolving art shows, talks, local knowledge shared.

This should be 5 star. Great place. Coffee is 10/10 and the place is great and very relaxing outside.
Makes seattle coffee shops look like cheap knockoffs
my new favorite place. Would come back here just for this

I love this place, the food is excellent and the staff is friendly. It’s an excellent place to hang out with friends over lunch. The fifth star is dropped based on the incredibly subjective taste of coffee, it’s not the best in my opinion.
For tourists, it’s a must go. Basecamp is a local gem for sure. We love them being a part of this community.

A super cool and fun store/coffeeshop! I wanted to stay there for hours, so will definitely come back.

I *might* have gotten food poisoning here. To be fair, one never knows the true source. Food tasted good. Veggie options! Service was not awesome but eventually we got our food and drinks.

Basecamp has a little bit of everything, breakfast and coffee, Great dinner food in the evenings, and a nice little outdoor area to relax and grab a drink. Everything has always been well done and tasty. Service has always been great.

So glad we stopped and found this place! Coffee was well-made and they offered several milk alternatives. Great gifts and books to peruse. Definitely stopping in here again next time we pass through the area.
