Probably the worst espresso I’ve ever had but it’s okay. I don’t imagine it was the baristas or the equipment I think they just lack knowledge on what beans they need to be using. Other than that it was a nice atmosphere with solid food and okay pastries.

I’m a from scratch cook who has worked in the food industry. It’s hard to find a place where you can get from scratch food. The cashier informed me the daily soups, sandwiches (panini), kale quinoa salad, cloud bites, filled croissants, breakfast burritos and bakery items are all in house from scratch. I’m super picky and had the bear claw and Tuscan zuppa soup both a 10. Friendly staff and a lot of seating. I’ll be back!

I took off a star because having old food/pastries in the case for display purposes grind my gears.

Also everything in the case was plastic wrapped and I'm a big fan of sustainable packaging (fresh baked goods should be able hold up just fine in the case for a day without being wrapped.

The best cafe on Whidbey Island! The owner uses many locally sourced ingredients, and the abundance of the northwest shines at Cedar and Salt.

What a fun spot! I love the vibe and the owners are wonderful!
