Cedar and Salt is a wonderful coffee shop. The pastries are amazing. I especially love the Gluten Free bread which is not only beautiful but delicious. Also the chocolate crinkle cookies are outstanding. They have so much to offer there. I had the chili soup and found very good. The staff are helpful and very knowledgeable. I feel so grateful to have such a wonderful establishment close by. If you haven’t gone in you just have to. Excellent experience every time. Cheers to Cedar & Salt.

my favorite place to get my hot white chocolate mocha. I also love their expresso chocolate chip gelato shake. I recently tried their chocolate chocolate chip muffin and it was super tasty! I also enjoy their breakfast sandwiches. the staff is awesome! While I usually get take out I love the ambience of the restaurant. very comfy and relaxing.

We stop every time we are on the Island visiting w friends and family. Great coffee! The bakes goods are made from scratch, and the owner is passionate about their business and service! Visit! You won't be disappointed!!

We support local businesses as much as possible, but only when we have good customer service experience. We supported this small business before the brick-and-mortar cafe!
I will begin with a couple of recommendations:
• Extended business hours, close an hour later. You are the only café open after 4:00 p.m. in Coupeville, but not in Oak Harbor.
• Better customer service, friendlier staff.
• Correct temperature for hot drinks (ours is always tepid).
• If the fireplace were functional, it would contribute to a better ambiance. The plants in the terrarium have been dead for a while.
Experience:
• The customer service received from staff needs to be more consistent. It has been subpar! We have only had an enjoyable experience with one barista who liked her job; we didn't get her name). Other staff members are either rude or curt. Be pleasant and inviting when a customer walks into your establishment.
• The hot drinks we order are rarely at the right temperature! Hot is supposed to be hot, not room temperature.
• Cash payments - is it common for your business to stop accepting cash payments at least 10 minutes before closing? We were told we could only pay by card since the register is closed for cash payments, and this has been on two occasions.
• I received the wrong order, and I chose not to have it corrected, not after the customer service we received! She was also in a rush to close because she had "two papers to write," as she told one of the customers.
• On two occasions, we had seen your business turn away customers when the "open" sign was still on, and the front door unlocked. If you do not want any other customers walking in, turn off your sign and lock the door behind the customer that walks out!
• Lastly, do you allow employees to bring their children to work? We observed a young girl playing by herself next to the bathrooms and close to an exit door. At first, we thought her parent(s) were in the rest room, but after a while, which was not the case. Our concern - the young girl was put at risk by her parent. There was zero visibility where the child was, and she was near an exit and bathrooms. The island is not free from crimes against children. Something to think about before leaving a young child unattended.

I've had the pleasure of going to Cedar & Salt a few times. Every time the staff was helpful and kind. Their coffee is wonderful and I've had their "keto" treats. YUM! I really appreciated the clean tables and dining area. Plenty of room and a relaxing place to be. Also, and this is important too, the bathroom was clean and pleasing. A place for both my purse and coat. Great location too! I also understand they are going to put in a drive-thru!! YAY =}

Super friendly customer service and DELICIOUS baked goods! A perfect spot to get work done, or just have a nice long chat with a friend over coffee and scones :)

Updated review after a year: We used to go daily. A good selection of bakery items (not overly sweet, just very tasty). Lots of space to sit.
We've sadly had to stop going as often as the service has significantly changed since their original staff left. They get our order wrong, no exaggerating, more than 50% of the time or it's cold. You get charged for random things too, like wanting less ice or one time we ordered a hot latte and a tea: For the tea I was charged for a latte because I wanted just a splash of milk and my husband's coffee was burnt and cold.
They have also raised their prices significantly and yet the service is worse. But we still have hopes for this place because the baker is amazing and it seems to be just a staffing issue. Gone down to 4 stars from 5 when they first opened.
Another update: went again, coffee was undrinkable.
So, so sad. We used to love this place. What's going on?

I've been here twice. Both times the coffee was bad. I dumped most of it. Too bad the owner haven't figured out yet. People there are very nice.
