Very charming, quaint little place. Homey decor. Friendly staff. Pastries were uncovered and some had flies on them! They need to be in an enclosed casing. Blueberry scones were dry, and did not taste fresh. They were bland. Decaffeinated coffee was made fresh and was delicious. Portions small and very overpriced for what little we got. 2 blueberry scones, 2 coffees came to $18.47!! It was quite a distant walk from the beach area.

This hidden gem is tucked away beside a Subway on Pacific. Great selection of pastries, cookies, pies, and quiches. The chocolate chip orange zest scone was amazing, as was the quiche. My kids enjoyed a cookie and a pain au chocolat. A welcome alternative to a certain coffee shop chain that’s located on every corner, airport, and grocery store.

May’s Parlor is a must if you’re in the area. I’m sad we only now found out about it. Everything looks delicious and the service was spectacular. The iced latte was probably the best I’ve ever had. My partner said their chocolate croissant was the best he’s ever had. I ordered a GF fruit tart that was also amazing.
Please visit and support a great local business.

The breakfast sandwiches were quite tasty- brioche buns baked in house for the win.

Two stars because the pastries were delicious but the service was less than ideal. 1) we were given the wrong scone & after letting them know the two signs customer facing were switched, the employee didn’t acknowledge the error, and then spoke to my mother in a very unprofessional and rude tone. She came across as short tempered and annoyed from the moment we started our interaction and order. It was offensive and a disheartening way to start the day. We spoke to the employee checking us out and she apologized for her co-workers behavior and said it was unacceptable 2) We ordered the ham breakfast sandwich with no mustard and when we received it, it was smothered in mustard. I truly hope other customers aren’t spoken to or treated the way we were today. The pastries were incredibly delicious but the customer experience was less than ideal and deeply unappreciated.

We usually go for the scones and quiches, but the sandwiches do not disappoint either!!!

Not worth the hype. Not only is this a basic bakery. The breakfast sandwiches are highly processed and if they're out of croissants instead of saying so you get what they have. I was offered a refund but it was so closterphobic in that tiny place i just wanted to escape. Nothing i purchased was worth the drive from Chesapeake. This is coming from someone that will drive to DC for a taco. I give this place a hard pass

We stop by every time we vacation in Virginia Beach. The coffee is great, pastries are delicious, and the mint lemonade was so refreshing on a hot, sunny 90+ degree day.

This bakery is amazing! The quiche looked like it could feed a big family. Really wish we took one home. Pastries all huge and fresh. And great coffee. Friendly service. Opens at 7 a.m., only wish it were earlier for our walk to beach at sunrise
