Off the Grid

Wow this place is so so good. Everything is fresh, people are nice, and the taste is amazing. I rarely eat out because I am almost always disappointed, but this place is great. The cold ramen bowl was delicious.

I came from out of town with my family and this was the best food I’ve had since I’ve been here. They have vegan and vegetarian options and The staff was super nice!

Decent food. Outrageous prices. Breakfast for 2 pancakes for 1 and scrambled eggs for me was almost 50.

We stopped here on the way to Shenandoah National Park. The menu has great variety with healthy options as well. The food was great. I got a chance to talk to whom I thought might have been the floor manager. She told me they can usually run the restaurant during the week on solar power, but the weekends can be demanding so they use some conventional power. She told me that when they get more power then they can use, it goes back to the grid. But the county actually charges them when they need power from the grid even when they have provided surplus energy to the utility. Try to walk around their grounds if you get a chance and you'll see the large array of solar panels in the back.

Delicious farm to table food. We had Off the Grid cater our wedding in Stanley, VA and we could not have been happier! Our guests absolutely raved about the food with multiple people saying it was the best wedding food they have ever had. Off the Grid was even able to work with my father's many different "allergies" and customize a fantastic meal just for him! Some of our favorite dishes included the butternut squash ravioli with brown sugar sage butter sauce, the roasted carrots (from their farm behind the restaurant), and fresh homemade sourdough bread with local honey butter. Would definitely recommend for weddings or any other catered events!

Great quick stop after visiting the park! Don't miss out the Tesla destination charger!! We missed it and noticed after we were leaving 😆

Stopped by after looking at the pictures and reading the reviews. After we placed our order and paying for it, a lady came out and said they ran out of chicken due to the busy weekend. It was very disappointing to learn that after placing our order and not getting a sincere apology. The place has more like a hipster vibe and it is a bit pricey. Paid 24 dlls for bagels, bag of chips and 2 tbs of coleslaw.

Lovely spot with great food and seating by a babbling brook. Fantastic service and a wide selection of veggie based food. Loved it all.

The Smoked Trout Sandwich was to die for and the homemade blueberry muffin was undoubtedly the best I've ever had! We sat out back by the stream and it was so peaceful. This place is a gem!

Cool little place serving local coffee and some nice little lunch specials. 3 tables outside to eat or call in for pickup. It's worth the wait as they make everything fresh for you.
