We stopped during the lunch rush. Food took a while, but was very worth it. Incredible flavor!! Yum.

Good food, albeit not worth a dedicated trip from Richmond given the variety in Richmond. Definitely worth a stop, though, if you happen to be traveling in that direction. Certainly something to see given the location it’s found in.

Second visit here and the sandwich was once again amazing. The people who work here are super friendly. One star short of loved just because its a tad bit pricy.

1st time patron and loved it. Had the Maiden's Cheese Steak and fries. Large selection of hot and cold sandwiches. Friendly folks helping you get a good lunch to your table, inside or outside. Yeah, I'll be back!

We stopped here on our way to Powhatan State Park and the sandwiches were so good they were on our plates for less than ten mins! We felt excited we found this little spot. Thank you!

In the hustle and bustle of today's world, it can be challenging to find businesses that have not sacrificed the customer experience in favor of their bottom line. The Cafe at Maidens allows visitors to travel back in time to an era of exceptional customer service and delicious, home-cooked food.

The owners and staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, which only added to my enjoyment of the meal. The Maidens Cheesesteak was as unique as it was delicious, and the Reuben was truly the best I've had. The fries were cooked to crisp perfection, and the potato salad had just the right amount of sweetness to it.

If you are in the area, or if you are simply looking to discover your next favorite sandwich, The Cafe at Maidens is a must!

The sandwiches are fantastic, with generous portions. I got two meals out of my chicken, bacon and ranch sandwich, which was delicious! My only reservations with the Cafe are that the prices are rather steep and it should have more of a cozy, classy atmosphere rather than feeling like a cross between a sports bar and a filling station. I think I'll get sandwiches for take - out next time.

Best little hidden secret in Powhatan, great food and service!

Just left and I felt compelled to review. Amazing food and a great little spot. They helped us out when my daughter dropped her sandwich. A family friendly, family owned place, the likes of which are too few and far between. Try the Rueben!

Banana Bill

Disgusting and unhygienic. I pulled a dead bug of some sort out of my meal. Super disappointed, and when I mentioned it to staff they seemed almost nonchalant, as if it was a common occurrence. Im shocked others haven't left similar reviews, because after speaking with a few locals it looks like they obviously have some sort of investation or need a health inspection. GROSS!
