The woman at the register was lovely and accommodation for both my vegetarian kids and my picky eater kid. The vegetarian got the best egg salad sandwich on a croissant and my son and I LOVED The Virginian! Everything was delicious, the atmosphere is super cute, the people were friendly. There are cute spaces for both indoor and outdoor dining. And a little free library! I wish we lived closer so we could eat more here more often!

Breakfast was wonderful! I'm unfamiliar with the area and was in a rush, so I called ahead and just told her to surprise me with breakfast for two people. She did not disappoint! Sausage, egg, and cheese croissants. Served with hash browns. We also grabbed some fritters and a cookie. It was all amazing. Thanks so much for all your help this morning!

Attentive service and friendly staff! Good variety of sandwich and salad choices that ate prepared fresh. Larger than expected amount of seating available both indoor and outdoor.

Great sandwiches, salads, fries, sides, and Perfect Sweet Tea! The salad was enough for 2 meals, the sandwiches were super stuffed! The only thing was it would have been nice to have cans of soda offered over ice instead of just out of the can. Great service, food, location just north of the Powhatan Sheetz on 522.

We went for the first time today, and the food was amazing and so was the service. We will definitely be returning again for another meal!

An out of the way gem. We were on a back road and hungry. A quick search gave us Cafe at Maidens. We had egg salad and Reuben sandwiches. Both were good. The place has a large selection of sandwiches. Worth the stop.

This was the best hash browns I ever had! Got the "hangover helper" and it was so good. Wasn't hungover but it helped perk me right up.

Great place to stop for a quick lunch! The owner with the blonde hair goes out of her way to make you feel important. She seems to have reliable help.

Don't be put off by the exterior. This former gas station is home to a charming cafe with breakfast and lunch menus. The sandwiches are piled high; the BBBLT had a good inch of crispy bacon. Homemade sides include hand-cut French fries, onion rings, and potato salad.
I also loved their involvement with the local community, obvious from a range of framed photos and a table displaying an array of business cards. Very comfortable interior, lovely old tile-topped tables. The place is clearly a labor of love.

A great place for a bite to eat. These guys do sandwiches well. Eat in or take it with you on the road you will not be disappointed. They can get busy but it’s worth the wait. Between me, the kids and husband the BLT, Ruben and club are all winners! Any one of their sandwiches with bacon really, it’s good.
