What a great brewery! Tons of outdoor spaces with different seating options. The indoor area is bright and welcoming and the bathrooms were immaculate.
All the beer is self-service- you get a card that tracks your purchases. I made myself a sampler and then poured my wife a glass of Chardonnay. They had 4 wines on tap as well and several seltzers.
They also have a full coffee bar with local pastries and a handful of other menu items. Their coffee must be great because the line was constant.
Other meal options include a food truck on site. And today was Girl Scout Cookie day, so that was our dessert!
We had a great visit to Cova Brewing- the vibe and the people were all positive- and most importantly- the beer was delicious.

A very neat place. Love the atmosphere and the merchandise they sell. Love the sea horses. I had the cortado, it was good. They measure out everything that goes in a cup on a scale. So I guess that way it is exactly the same each time they make something. The lady that took the order was really nice.
One thing I noticed and didn't like, the spoon they use to stir the coffee drinks was used in both cow milk, and other milk options. I have family allergic to cow milk and I am not sure if this would be an issue for them. They do put the spoon in what looks like water between uses. ~ Thank you for the update on that. I appreciate you taking the time to reply! :)
Parking is a little limited.
I would definitely try them again.

I visited here with my family on an afternoon. Overall, the visit was pleasant. There isn’t nearly enough parking which could definitely pose a problem. The beer was fairly standard with the only highlight being their coffee stout, at least in my opinion. You’d hope a bar that serves coffee would make a decent coffee stout and it does taste fairly good. The rest of the beers are fine at least of those that I tried. The Pilsner however was pretty underwhelming and had an oddly floral taste. Maybe there was something up with that batch it just didn’t hit the way a Pilsner should. In any case, it’s a nice place to visit when it isn’t too busy. I imagine it would be a pain to come when it’s busy since you have to pour your own beer.

Easily a favorite lunch/hangout spot. The coffee is flavorful, beer choices awesome, and food (different food trucks on site at different times; tried multiple) is delicious. The atmosphere can't be matched to anything we have ever been to. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite breweries. The staff always seem to appear to love their jobs. I loved the autumn beers my last visit. The outdoor space is cozy too. If beer isn't your thing they have coffee and tea. And baked goods too.

Great brewery with a pour your own beer system. Pour small tasters with as little beer as you want, find what you like and then pour yourself a full glass. Also friendly and helpful staff.

Went to Cova Brewery recently! Had the Iced Honey Lavender Latte! And the Espresso Martini! Absolutely delicious! Fairly cozy environment, with seating for medium groups. I will come here again!

Must stop brewery! Very good beer. The Kolsh was my favorite. Very clean on the inside and a very cool outdoor seating area with a nice beer garden.
Pour your own beer concept is very unique. They also have a small cafe on site and seem to bring in a different food truck almost every day. If I'm ever back in Virginia I'm for sure stoping in again.

It was bit confusing at first but it maybe only the second place I been that customer does the pour. So my inexperience... been to plenty of frozen yogurt self serve joins. Alcohol on tap by ounce with debit card new to me and was fun to do. I liked having options on small pour 3oz for flight tasting.
I rate it way above any other self checkout line of any store. 😜
Brazilian style food truck there for lunch was great.

Nice brewery/coffee shop, on a large lot, with ample seating both inside, and out. I had a norfolk fog, and pretzel, and all was delicious. The location appears to be an old fire station, and has plenty of natural light, and a beach vibe. The staff are friendly, and enthusiastic. Parking is a little confusing, but the area is pretty walkable. I look forward to trying the beer on a future visit.
