Gather Cafe

Very busy but still very accommodating. I had the special cinnamon white chocolate coffee and was delighted. Hubby had a red velvet cupcakes which he loved. We were happily surprised the cupcakes hail from Sugar Plum Bakery in VA Beach! Keep up the good work and packed house Gather!!

This is a cute little coffee & eatery. I enjoyed the environment. The chicken salad sandwich was more than enough food for lunch. Definitely give it a try.

I live a little ways from this coffee shop, so I can't stop by very often. However it's always a nice experience when I do. Quality coffee, espresso drinks, and syrups, as well as friendly service!

Coffee is delicious and I love the simplicity of the drink menu. However, their food/bakery selections are minimal.
The layout and the furniture and bar are exquisite.
Staff is polite but owner (or maybe she was the manager), she was curt and seemed annoyed that the lady in front of me didn't know what a pour-over was. The lady asked about what a Pour Over and what an Undertow were. The owner/manager responded with "It's just your typical pour over and undertow".
Hard to win customers when you leave them confused and insulted.

Horrible. I asked for a table. The response was there's a table in the corner. (No eye contact, no greeting, no kiss my ...) The kicker is I waited over 30 minutes for no service. Leaving out very disappointed 😞. The breakfast menu didn't even look too appealing anyway. Very limited. My first and last time here I would not recommend...and it was not busy at all. Waste of a drive. Did I say very disappointing 😔.

Food phenomenal coffee excellent.

Very nice cafe/coffee shop. They have a room where I attend cookie decorating classes by 757Cookie Smith. We always have a wonderful time.

Everyone is so nice and they have awesome customer service! The coffee and desserts are so delicious and I definitely recommend the lemon berry marscapone cake!

I first discovered this coffeeshop on Instagram, and the décor and atmosphere caught my eye and immediately drew me in! White and black tiles, wooden tables, and a modern, minimalistic vibe... YES! I had to know where this aesthetically pleasing coffeeshop was, and I was surprised it was located in Chesapeake of all places. They officially opened their doors as of September 1, 2017 so they're the freshest, newest coffeeshop in town.

I visited them on their opening day and was warmly greeted by a welcoming staff. Their menu features the espresso essentials as well as smoothies, breakfast items, pastries, soups, sandwiches, and salads. A good point to add: they will gladly make a custom drink for you if it's not on the menu! The price range is also very reasonable. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich with a fruit cup and a caramel macchiato in a mug (but sadly only drip coffee is served in them) *sad face*, so my drink came in a to-go cup. Speaking of to-go cups, they also have mobile/online ordering, so you can order food and drinks for pick up through ChowNow!

The caramel macchiato was served in a 12 oz cup, extra hot, and it's sweetness wasn't over the top like how other places make it. The chicken salad sandwich, which is composed of chunky white chicken, celery, cranberries, marinated artichoke hearts, and pecans was OH SO GOOD! Everything in the chicken salad went so well together, and the chicken was extra chunky. It was love at first bite! The fruit cup on the side contained sweet watermelon, strawberries, and honeydew. I think I made some pretty solid choices on my first of many visits.

I think this coffeeshop will do very well, considering there's none like it in the area and within its proximity. Plenty of free parking, free wifi, comfy seating and lots of table space, a healthy menu, and superb drinks--what more could you ask for?? The customer service, last but not least, makes this place stellar.

We've finally got a waterhole in this coffeeshop desert of Chesapeake!

Cozy atmosphere, quiet and perfect for friends to catch up and chat, or to get some work done. Reasonable prices. Very generous amounts of avocado on their scrumptious avocado toast. High chairs available.
