Gather Cafe

Gather is interesting. First, the drinks are great. The atmosphere is relaxed. Not really a place to go if you are in a rush. They have Very comfortable seating and they use ceramic dishes for dine in. And the cost is equivalent to Starbucks

Had a great cup of coffee and guacamole with my wife at Gather this morning. Good. Coffee shop atmosphere and the two stereotypical neckbeard wearing hipsters on their iMac laptops seemed to be enjoying the Wi-Fi.

Summation: If you're local, this might be your spot. If you're traveling through, try elsewhere.

I'll note I never got to their sandwiches, so I can't comment that. It looked tasty.

I needed a simple stop while traveling, and wanted something local for coffee/snack/possible lunch.

It was a bit after midday, and the place was pretty busy. Seemed like a local flavor spot.

At first ordered coffee and pastries, but no coffee in the afternoon. Odd to me, but ok, tried some espresso drinks instead.

Unfortunately, with the place bustling, took a good bit to get my order. The cappuccino tasted burnt, and the scone was similarly toasted through. Also couldn't't find a table for the family, seems quite a few people just take a good chill time there. Good for them, unless you'd also like to sit to eat.

Bummer, but I wasn't going to try my luck with a more thorough lunch after the pastry. Shame, as the place seemed well setup and with a good atmosphere.

I love this place so much. I usually to to-go orders because I’m a lonely military spouse lol. It is so easy because it’s always ready when I arrive! I just walk in and pick it up! Everything is SO yummy!!!! I usually get an iced latte with vanilla and other flavors they offer. They have like 10000000 flavors! Anyways, y’all rock. I love y’all!

We stop here most times that we travel through on our way to the Outer Banks. They have good soups, but they almost always serve them barely above room temperature. Most times, the staff are happy to heat them but today the waitress was so rude. "We dont usually heat them above... they've been heating all day.... so you want me to heat them some more???" Then she walked away from us to clear a table before coming back, doubting that the second bowl could also need heating, tapping the sides of the bowl to check whether the bowl itself met her standards of warmness. At least when they came back she sent another waiter who was much friendlier. The soup was now at least warm, though not piping hot. So unnecessary.

Step aside Starbucks there is a newer and much cooler coffee shop in town.

Gather has always been good to me. Never a bad experience and the food seems to be fresh and is absolutely delicious.

10/10 would recommend.

I went to Starbucks and spent $8.50 this morning on a coffee that was mediocre. A few hours later, on this chilly, rainy day, I ended up at Gather for a pumpkin spice latte... my Lord.... this was THE BEST cup of coffee I've had in 3 years. They are the nicest people and the place is decorated so beautifully!! You OWE IT TO YOURSELF to give it a try!!

Mellow atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. Good variety of coffee, smoothies as well as lunch items. Update...they have dropped participation in the LoveVA app and only do there on. They now have scones back on the menu

Nice place, nice atmosphere and nice staff. Was only passing through but could see it being a hang out if I was a local.
