Staff is very friendly good food and drink. But the service is SO SLOW. I am a patient guy..but.. I have tried this place over and over and the service is unbelievably slow every time. There is absolutely no sense of urgency with the staff. I get it's supposed to be laid back and chill.. but that's what the customers are supposed to be doing. Not the employees.
I walked out the other day after I paid, I was the only customer waiting for my beverage to-go. After standing there for atleast 15 minutes in full view of the staff behind the counter (keep in mind there were only a few people sitting down - not busy at all) ..I just... left. So enjoy the 5 bucks Gather. Not worth the wait. Not coming back again.

Love so much about this place, only wish the service was a bit faster... Took us almostb20 minutes waiting in line then another 10 to get our order. Perfect place to come relax is you've got time to chill, you are planning to get some work done or you are visiting with friends.

Probably the best local coffee shop in Western Branch Chesapeake. Their draft lattes are dope and overnight oats are amazing. It takes some time to get your order, but they make everything fresh which is great.

Very nice establishment and very nice staff. Coffee was ok and temperature wasn't hot.

Gather is a bit tucked away with an unassuming sign in an area you might not frequent, but once you get inside you’ll realize exactly what all the fuss Is about. It feels cozy, with most tables having high-backed chairs normally reserved for your living room and tons of natural light. The room is open and sparse, a great place for a group or even for a bit of quiet if you find yourself needing a workspace. The coffee is the real selling point. They use Prescription Coffee beans which are roasted locally and the staff is welcoming and attentive. Every dollar you spend here goes back into the local community. I will absolutely continue coming here.

This was our first visit highly recommended by friends. Long wait to get our food. Somewhat pricey for a small amount of food. Not a friendly atmosphere. Will not return.

Sunlight brightens this roomy coffee shop and its casual balance of industrial and rustic décor. The cinnamon mocha latte I tried was well flavored but heavily sweetened and tasted a tad burnt. The sandwiches make for a reasonably portioned (and beautifully plated) lunch but are mediocre in quality (e.g. deli meat, fairly plain chicken salad). The staff was friendly and accommodating. Overall, this shop is a welcome addition to an area primarily dominated by chain restaurants, and I hope their menu quality will improve over time.

It's a beautiful place that really encompasses that "local" feel that you want whenever you walk into a coffee shop.
As a developer/SE, I prefer to have a space to work that is quiet enough to focus, yet has enough background noise to fill the silence. I love the added detail of wordless violin tracks of popular songs, it's good for listening to music without causing distraction from work.
I've seen a few reviews with concern of cost, but those reviews couldn't be further from reality. $6 protein smoothies (which I recommend based on my visit)....<$5 coffee(which I have yet to try)... it's a steal if you ask me. I was initially wary of the $9 chicken salad sandwich until it came out, it was more than my money's worth in size and quality.
The service and cleanliness was on point. The staff was super helpful, extremely sweet, and made the first visit just that much less awkward. You won't be disappointed if you take a stop by.

I love this coffee house! I've tried many coffee shops closer to me (on the Peninsula) but no one compares to their coffee. The "Caramel Popcorn Latte" is my all time favorite, but this is the only place I can find it. So I drive all the way from York County just to get a cup. Worth a try, so stop in!

Would like to see more gluten free option. Pour over coffee is delectable.
