Super great food, desert selection, friendly atmosphere, community vibes. Easily my favorite coffee spot in town, the spaces are super inviting and really well-designed to accommodate families, individuals looking to work on their computers, or friends looking to hang out. Very friendly staff as well

What a find!! I moved to Charlottesville in early 2018 but was never aware that this place existed until a mentor from Palmyra, VA suggested that we meet there. I arrived early to get the lay of the establishment alone. I was not disappointed. While parking must surely be a commodity on weekdays, on the Sunday that I arrived, it was not. This charming little place offers, in addition to their great coffee, great sandwiches, pastries, and wines. There's a cozy seating area which is for customers only. Given the natrual appeal, I'm certain that the posted sign that says as much, is an absolute necessity. I really like C'ville Coffee. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

I've never posted a negative review on Google before, but I've just had it with this place. Here's my honest attempt at being fair:
Pros: Good coffee and food. Delicious pastries. Great spacious, relaxing lay-out.
Cons: Prices are insane (even bottled water is $2.70) and internet connectivity/reliability is poor
Worst of all...if you're like the 80%+ of people who come to a coffee shop to enjoy a single coffee/espresso drink, hang for a while, and then leave, then this is in essence a cash-only business ($5 minimum for all debit/credit transactions).

Excellent sandwiches. Cappuccinos vary a bit by the barista, but are never bad. Atmosphere is a little eclectic, but staff and especially owner seem eager to please. Only aspect dropping it to 4 stars is the price which is acceptable but will be a little high for some.

My wife and I shared lunch here a couple of days ago and very much enjoyed it. The sandwiches were fresh and very appetizing (we both had French Salute sandwiches made with ham, brie, and French baguette bread). The coffee was delicious. Susan had frozen mocha, and I had cappuccino. The service was friendly and the atmosphere pleasant. We highly recommend C'ville Coffee.

Spacious place to hang, do some work or just soak up the jazz and classical music that purrs from the stereo. Good coffee. Also wine and beer on premises. Delicious, though expensive, sandwiches. They have great live music several evenings each week.

Staff and coffee is amazing. The food is good too but I go for the coffee. I wish they stayed open longer to enjoy the wine in the shop.

It's expensive for what it is, but the environment and team are 5*. Also, there is an awesome mug collection.

Good coffee and sandwiches. Popular meeting spot and heavily utilized alternative workspace for students and townies. Not fancy and the carpet is kind of grungy. Have not been there for wine or live music. Good local spot.

This place is seriously welcoming to everyone. There is a kids' area with fun stuff and an adults only part where you can get a quieter experience. The decor is homey and the food is good. Sometimes in the evening there is music or improv. It's very Charlottesville in the best way.
