Food was very good and staff was helpful, but it was way more expensive than expected. we had two sandwiches, two bags of chips, one soda and a bottled water and our bill before tip was $43, which does not match up with the “$” price level listed on Google.

This place of such a gem! The owner Toan, is one of the kindest and most loving people you’ll ever meet. The honey bunches he serves are by far the best thing in Charlottesville! Highly recommended stopping in.

Didn't try any food but the coffee was pretty good

What a wonderful stop on our recent trip Charlottesville. The owner was wonderful and really went out of his way to make our time special. The breakfast sandwich was tasty, I really enjoyed it with blue cheese! The ambiance is wonderful, really cool to learn about the mug collection. A must stop.

Love the atmosphere and sandwiches - best in town. The chai latte is also delicious :) Everyone who works here is kind and helpful!

Honestly a mediocre experience. The coffee itself carries the rating of 3 stars, but it was a bit overpriced and a large coffee only gets 2 shots of espresso in it. The staff were friendly enough but honestly a little off-putting. They were rarely behind the register and I saw multiple customers waiting to be served at a slow time of day. The coffee cups hanging from the ceiling were a cool decoration. Also kind of a weird crowd. Got leered at by several men, one even coming up to me and trying to chat me up while I was minding my own business and working. Not cozy or welcoming as other reviewers shared. I much prefer the ambiance of Mudhouse or Shenandoah Joe.

Revised to 4 stars: much better experience and good iced coffee.

Good little shop with a cool vibe and ambiance.

Had an iced coffee and an egg and cheese wheat wrap. Coffee was very good. Wrap was good, nothing spectacular, average (when small tweaks in preparation could’ve made it great).

My deduction of a point from 4 to 3 here was for the friendliness of the staff. I read so many reviews on here raving about that aspect, but I only received muttered sentences and scowls.

I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, maybe a few of them just had a bad day. I just didn’t feel like I was welcome there and it was a chore for them to take and make my order. That’s the hipster way I guess, pretend like you’re all about peace and love, except when it comes to your actual fellow man that you’re interacting with in the present moment.

Good luck with that when you step out of your bubbles!

Great atmosphere but overpriced food and coffee. $19 for a latte and egg sandwich? Yikes.

Great coffee, good prices, fun place to go and do work at - highly recommend!

I love this place! Food is yummy every time I go. It's quiet and just generally a lovely respite from the craziness that C'ville can sometimes be!!
