On the recommendation of the owner of The Inn at Forest Oaks, we decided to try this place for dinner one night. We were told the portions were generous and that was DEFINITELY the case! We PHYSICALLY HURT when we walked out, but I wouldn't change a thing about it! Haha! I'm not often an overeater, but the food was just sooo delicious! I had collards with a boiled egg (not many places you can find that)! But the two things that compete for FAVORITE MENU ITEM in my opinion, are those amazing carrots (in chicken broth, I think) and the sweet potato fries with that molasses dipping sauce! WHAT!? I honestly could make a meal of their sides. I'm a little picky (mostly just have a lot of unfortunate dietary restrictions), but this menu actually offered a lot that I could actually eat! My husband and I were so pleased with this recommendation!

Juicy, delicious burgers. Patties were thick and buns were very soft. Loved the marinara sauce on the mozz burger. Onion rings and waffle fries were crispy on the outside. Expect to feel full for many hours.

Really, really disappointing considering these reviews. If you usually eat at chain restaurants, maybe you’ll like this place as it was all frozen and processed food. If you’re looking for good local food, avoid at all costs. While the food was mediocre at best, $60 for an appetizer and two burgers is robbery at a place like this. Neither my partner nor I finished our food. This isn’t even addressing the service. Our waitress was incredibly rude, would not even look my partner and I in the eye and often ignored us even when saying thank you to her. She took our drinks without us saying anything (more like snatched), refilled, and charged us when we never asked. We would’ve disputed it, but I wanted to get out of there as fast as possible so I didn’t care. I have never felt so deeply uncomfortable in a restaurant before— I watched as employees stared at women walking in, looking them up and down and laughing. Horrific. It seems as if visitors passing through aren’t exactly welcome here. Don’t spend money at this place. There’s plenty of good places in the area, and you’re not missing anything.

Visiting the area for a spur of the moment solo birthday trip (birthday landed on Thanksgiving Day this year). I ate here the night before Thanksgiving Day. I was recommended this place by some locals. I ordered Brian's Seafood Pasta. It was shrimp & crab meat in a sauce over pasta served with garlic bread and house salad. The house salad was a generous portion of fresh salad ingredients, I requested blue cheese dressing which was delicious (I asked for no cucumbers, no croutons, & no mushrooms... But I'd bet those ingredients are good if you want those included). I was told that the regular sauce used for the main course was not available because it had been used completely (must be a popular dish). But I was given the option to order something else or opt for a different sauce... I chose the lemon butter sauce which was very good. It tasted scratch made. My only complaint was there was very fine small pieces of crab and the crab was very scarce to the point it was barely noticeable. The shrimp was abundant and good. I did have to add salt because the pasta didn't taste like it had been salted, and I like my pasta salted. Since my birthday was the following day I ordered Heath bar Butter Cake as a dessert to celebrate. It was a sheet poke cake with a toffee filling in the pokes & a whipped cream based topping/icing with Heath bar crumbles. The whipped cream looked and tasted homemade. Rachel waited on me and was very attentive. She wished me a happy birthday and a happy Thanksgiving. It was a very good experience and the food was outstanding. I would highly recommend.

We were struggling to find somewhere to eat on our way up 81. We’re so glad we stumbled upon this place. Service was fast and very friendly. All of the sauces were house made and excellent. I’d recommend the Squealer sandwich for sure!

Absolutely delicious! Middle of nowhere, foot of a mountain, terrific food!
Road trip pit stop turned into some of the best diner food we have had anywhere, in a very long time.
If your rolling down 81, stop here. Plan a trip here. Go out of your way to eat here.

The view from our outside table was amazing. It was a beautiful day and food was cooked to perfection. Service excellent and dessert was to die for. If you can take a 30 to 45 minute drive I would say you must try. Pic from outside 🤳.

Fine for the middle of nowhere but deceptively high-ranked imo. Servers were nice until I told them the fryer needed fresh oil. Fries were not edible. They did not care. There’s a “veggie-style” burger on the menu with asparagus and fried green tomatoes but there’s also a veggie (black bean) burger so be sure to clarify because they won’t. Worst of all they had 2 radios playing different music. Buy some chips and make it to the next town. Maybe the bar is the highlight. I did see they won an award for coolest beer glasses. Congrats.
