Forget about Cracker Barrel. THIS IS THE PLACE for a great meal! The Foot of the Mountain Cafe has great flavor combinations like the local favorite burger, top quality ingredients and a nice atmosphere where the food is the focus. We'll be stopping by every time we travel through here.

We found this relatively new restaurant just the place you would want in your neighborhood. It offers first of all a view. Plus nice selection of beers, mixed drinks, etc. Also a friendly staff and informative staff. As well as good food, I almost forgot the food. THE FOOD is very interesting. It has some old standards, some new standards plus some neuveau food. I know it's hard to produce all of this but I think they are successfully doing it by altering tried and true favorites.

View was perfect, the food was amazing and our waitress was the sweetest thing ever. So happy that I came across this as I was looking for a lunch spot.
We got Chesapeake waffle fries to start, a philly steak burger, and a turkey BLT.

Excellent! I do not eat fast food and when traveling I try to find a place with nice atmosphere and great food. This place was both. Staff and patrons were very friendly and food was delicious. I highly recommend.

Not far from the highway there is a cafe with an excellent view. Great food, inexpensive. Fast service, waiting time 10 min. Give out the napkins, do not need to ask them🤗. The toilet is too small to change the diapers the child

My girlfriend and I decided to eat here while visiting a couple days at the natural bridge. Despite the sign on the door stating they were short staffed we saw no issues. We got the “almost cheasapeake waffle fries” for an appetizer which was amazing. Promptly after we got our meals which consisted of the ham and Swiss patty melt for my girlfriend and a 12oz ribeye, baked beans and a house salad with ranch. Wow…the fries were amazing and the sauce they came with tasted just like cheasapeake sauce from Royal farms. My girlfriends sandwhich was phenomenal (I tried a bite myself), my steak was cooked perfect and had a great seasoning, the baked beans were good and the house salad was pretty dang big and tasty. Overall service was quick, the food was really good and there’s a nice view of the mountain.

This was a great surprise along i81. We pulled off for gas and were so hungry but the exit didn't look like there was any place to eat. Across the street from the gas station was Foot Of the Mountain and it had many cars in the lot. I'm glad we went there to eat it was great. The service was so good and all the staff was super friendly. They all seemed to care about the customer. It seems like a local place but so welcoming to all. The food is made to order and outstanding. The sweet potato fries best ever along with the cheese grits. Burgers are huge and yummy. On our way out we put a pin in the map to show where we were from. Great place!

This restaurant is right off the highway and has beautiful views of the mountain from any seat in the place. The food was great overall. I had an order of breaded wings with Asian zing sauce, the Blackburn burger, and collard greens. Burger was cooked perfect med-well just as ordered. The collard greens were absolutley amazing. The wings had great flavor but the breading was falling off so the was not great. Staff was all very friendly, our waitress seem to be new but still did a great job. Overall I would absolutely eat here again and get lots more greens
