Bayou Bakery, Coffee Bar & Eatery

As I write this, my hunger was just satiated by a hearty and warming lunchtime meal. Although not pictured here, we got some flavorful gumbo that had all the right items to make it a great lunchtime stew and a roast beef po boy which had an amazing gravy that had me coming back for more and more bites. The food disappeared before i could remember to take some photos for the memories. However, I did manage to snap some quick pics of their Deviled eggs with their “pork n’ peño” addition which really put these deviled eggs on a whole other level. Also, if you’re in the area and you’re not getting their beignets, you’re 100% missing out. A great spot to chose for amazing food and chill interior (and exterior) vibes. Staff was friendly, helpful and instrumental in making this place a spot I’ll be returning to in the near future.

Came here for Sunday Brunch and there was lots of seating available, maybe 6 or 7 tables outside and plenty of seating inside as well. Got the avocado eggs Benedict, salmon toast, beignets, and a chai latte with oat milk. The avocado eggs Benedict had a great flavor but it was cold which was disappointing. The beignets and salmon toast were both excellent. Service sort of slow but mostly because it was crowded and there was a long line.

One of the best eateries around. Can highly recommend the Quiche and the avocado with Eggs Benedict. Good coffee too. Last but not the least, fine music playlist!

Bayou is delicious and bring not-often-found NOLA flavors to the DMV. Beignets and biscuits are the gems, seating can be limited with a few tables outdoors. Ordering is more like ticketing at the counter which can be chaotic, but there quick and well worth navigating. Popular spot with knowledgeable and accommodating staff are characteristic of Bayou Bakery during all seasons!

We really enjoyed this place on our visit to the DC area. We had breakfast there two times at my son’s request. We had the biscuit both times. We also had the beignets and coffee. Everything was great and customer service was wonderful…very friendly staff.

I had the BEST TASTING BLT in my life at this wonderful place. I love Bayou theme. Made me want to go to Louisiana.

Lattes were fantastic, quiche was great and service awesome. I took a stroll with my friend through her Arlington neighborhood and she raved about this place. I'm hooked and will take me walk there tomorrow as well.

Food was excellent. Service is great. Ambiance was on point. I loved the beignets, and the avocado Benedict. Would definitely go here again.

I used to live right around the corner from this place and would go frequently every weekend. I have since moved away but found myself back in the area 8 years later. So I had to stop back in and get my favorite, the Bayou BLT! Just as great as I remember! Definitely recommend stopping in if you find yourself at the courthouse Metro stop.

Bayou is an absolute gem & the food is phenomenal. Everything is incredibly tasty and amazingly high quality. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable as well, with great recommendations and awareness of their ingredients and preparation processes. Can’t wait to return and have more of the menu.
