Café du Soleil

The reviews looked great so I decided to try it out. However the coffee was subpar, and I couldn’t work because they were frying onions quite often. The employees all decided to have a sour day for some reason…Was discouraging.

Very good crepes, sandwiches and coffee. I recommend the Croque Monsieur. Choice of indoor or outdoor seating.

Curdled iced latte. Also ordered a quiche Florentine (no meat) and got a Lorraine (ham) which I didn’t realize until I started eating it. Overall very disappointed, had high hopes since the reviews were positive. For two people, who got coffees and the wrong quiches, it shouldn’t be $40.

It is all in the details: While visiting a friend who was shooting in LED studios (upstairs, same building) my wife ordered a scone that needed to be heated. We paid for the food and went upstairs with the intent on picking up the scone as soon as dropped our coats off in the studio. Server from the Cafe brought the scone to my wife. A simple gesture that speaks highly of this small cafe. I plan to return.

Delicious crepes, very cozy atmosphere and super friendly staff. I stumbled upon this little gem on my first day in Alexandria and it did not disappoint, had a the brushuto cheese crepe and the Nutella with banana. I had to go visit one last time before i left town to try the salmon crepe. A definite must

Found this place after coming to Old Town for years. Husband had the quiche and said it was the best he’s ever had! Love the decor here as well!

Excellent breakfast location. Ordered the French American breakfast plate and each item was cooked to perfection and delicious.
