My husband and I love SSC :) Steph and the rest of the staff are awesome - Their baked goods change frequently which is fun. Most recently, my faves have been spinach/provolone scone, nutella/PB cheesecake. The homemade english muffins with the breakfast sandwiches are fantastic as well.

UPDATE: the peanut butter cookies are insanely good

I love Stowe Street Cafe! Before COVID, it was one of my favorite places in town to get a coffee and a pastry. It has such a nice atmosphere. I have to be honest- I haven't been as good about supporting them during COVID, but decided to change that today. I ordered the special ramen dish, and it did not disappoint! It was so easy to order for curbside pickup and the employees were so kind. Everything felt very COVID safe and the food was delicious. I'll be returning soon!

My family and I stopped here to grab some food for our drive back to CT. We got coffee, two empanadas, a yogurt and a cinnamon bun. We started eating in the car and started freaking out how amazing everything was! The sausage empanada was so incredible, even our picky son raved. Fresh, made with love, friendly service, reasonable prices, great coffee-- I went back inside to get more to bring home with us. I wish we had a spot like this at home but now we have more incentive to return for a visit!

Please take note! The Stowe Street Cafe is a hidden gem; that needs to be out into the light!
Excellent food. Great latte's. There is also a adjoining bookstore . How convenient.
What more do you need! Bring a friend. Enjoy the fall weather.

Stopped in for a quick bite on our way through Vermont, and chose based on other reviews. Cute place, clean, menu sounded good, but the food, which was pricey, was really, really disappointing. The mufaletta just wasn't good, and the felafal was terrible, cold, in a wrap with cheese. Just bad. Turkey sandwich was deli-style turkey slices, not awful but again disappointing. Asked for large iced tea, nobody mentioned that there is only one size (very small). Will not be returning.

Went here very hungry for breakfast, but were greeted with “please put your mask on”. Then, saw they were assembling sandwiches with their bare hands. How hypocritical! At that point our entire party walked out.

I've only been here once, but it's nice and quiet and the hot cocoa was some of the best I've ever had. I've lived in Vermont my whole life, and this café feels more 'Vermont' than pretty much any other place I've been to.

Great place for lunch or breakfast. Love the artwork and the welcoming vibe the whole places gives. Foods well thought out and delicious. Items for sale are beautifully made (I’ve been admiring the earrings they have for sale!). Great spot.

Delicious, friendly and fun. Staff is attentive and accommodating. Food is homemade, muffeleta sandwich was delicioso. Next time in Waterbury, get some of their molasses cookies. Yum!

Wonderful little coffee shop with a bookstore attached to it.
