Wally's Place - Bagel and Deli

Love this spot! Really fantastic bagels, sandwiches and coffee. Delicious, fresh ingredients and homemade breads, spreads, etc. The staff is really nice, and it's a very cozy place. An absolute must if you're on the island!!

My husband and I came here for breakky before our lake Champlain adventure. My hubs had a bagel sandwich with hot sauce, and I had the apple fest. They were both much better than we expected! We were inspired by the decor, including pictures of them at the farmers market, and decided to head to the South Hero farmers market after.

It was good.

Atmosphere is charming, next to a busy gas station, but a picnic table to sit at to the right.
The lady taking the order was not friendly or helpful, but the lady checking us out was very kind.

If you're in the islands for breakfast or lunch this is the place to stop! Freshly made breakfast or lunch sandwiches are made on fresh baked bagels or bread. Sweet treats are available also. It's amazing.

Always visit when camping at Grand Isle State Park. Great food, consistent, and fresh. Would recommend calling your order ahead of time as it gets super busy.

In the area for a conference and decided to stop. Lots to choose from on the menu but look on the counter for some baked goods. I had a cranberry scone and was not disappointed. Local feel where everyone said "Good Morning" as people walked in. Worth a stop for sure.

My husband and I visit Vermont for a week every summer and as soon as we're off the ferry we have to stop at Wally's and usually on our way back home as well. They have amazing bagel sandwiches plus the atmosphere is also pleasant.

Good bagels. Nice selection of flavors and bread. Wish they had low fat cream cheese. Very busy place, good location.

Applefest breakfast sandwich was delicious. Staff is friendly and helpful. Busy breakfast spot with indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy your food.

Wally's is a must try if you live, vacation, or just drive through the islands during your morning or mid-day. The bagels are always fresh and delicious, the sandwiches are spectacular. Try the Applefest for a uniquely scrumptious taste that gets its name from an expired traditional fall festival that will hopefully be revitalized in the near future, but I digress. And soon enough, if not already, Wally's will move to a not too distant location with a larger space for dining, instead of the two/three seated window bar.
