Wally's Place - Bagel and Deli

Wally’s has the BEST bagels, sandwiches and staff! A special shoutout to Clara for being AMAZING! We call in our breakfast order every weekend and Clara knows it by heart and by name! Wally’s staff is all amazing but we cherish and appreciate Clara’s friendliness, attention to detail, kindness and an awesome personality! Highly recommend for anyone traveling through the islands!

I'm staying locally in South Hero and stumbled upon this place. I've had the applefest 2x in a row, and lunch off their menu today. I highly recommend if you're looking for a delicious breakfast or lunch that is within the $4-9 / person range.

Great bagels. Better hockey team

Great breakfast sandwichs and they sell small sleeves of day old bagels, perfect for us since we are only visiting the area.

Love this place! Ate there yesterday and went back today enjoying brunch both times (various sandwiches, all good). So why four stars? We opted to get take out sandwiches we could enjoy for dinner tonight, placing our order after eating lunch and "special ordering" things to our taste. This gave us great anticipation... then we pulled them out to eat this evening finding we got someone else's order - not ours. Sadly, they don't have the same taste buds we do. Whoever is missing the BLT on some sort of white bread and ham (or similar meat) on some sort of other bread, we know where they are (in our trash can). Whoever got our special made turkey w/horseradish mayo on a salt bagel and steak w/sauteed onions and peppers on a whole wheat everything bagel, I hope you were able to enjoy them. (sigh) It's a bit ironic (to us) that we left a $5 tip in addition to paying for food we'd never want, but such is life. One wins some and loses some. To others reading, yes, stop here - we loved it - but CHECK your order if getting something to go! Apparently people share names and the folks working don't double check if you answer to the name called. The person who takes your order is not necessarily the person handing them out and bags aren't see through or labelled.

Received no greeting when we came in and the girl that took our order was not friendly at all which was such a turn off. The employee that rung us up was a bit more pleasant, but not much. Got 3 breakfast bagel sandwiches and they were nothing special at all. Hardly any egg at all on them and I’m not one for tons of egg, but you could barely tell there was any on it. The meat and cheese were ok and the bagel was absolutely average. The sticky bun was pretty good. We were disappointed after reading such good reviews.

Great food and so many options.

This place is awesome, the most delicious and only bagel in South Hero. Coffee is nice and hot! They are closed in Mondays and Tuesdays! Full selection of bread on Fridays.

Love Wally's!! I'm so glad they were able to move from the spot by the gas station into their newer and bigger location. Their applefest bagel sandwich is delicious and always my go to choice. Very friendly service too! Highly recommend!!

Wally's Place is a great place to get a breakfast or lunch bite to eat. If you happen to be in the store when a fresh batch of sticky buns come out of the oven get one...or two. My favorite breakfast sandwich is the steak and eggs with a touch of horseradish sauce so good. Great place!
