My family is from Vernal. Going to the 7-11 cafe has been a tradition going to and from camping up off of the Red Cloud Loop. I took my friends there last night and I was incredibly disappointed. I know we can blame some things on COVID-19, but the food was pretty off par. I ordered the pork ribs special. The pricing is great, but I left most of my meal on the table because:
Soup looked cooked down to a blob.
Ribs were boiled and tasted freezer burned
Scones were on point and that’s why I added 2 stars.
This restaurant has a cool history and run by the family still. I hate seeing it go down hill. I am hoping this was a bad night.

This family owned business is a local favorite, from the homemade scones (fried kind, not British) with honey to the Friday night prime rib, you really can't go wrong. Family dining that is fresh, friendly and a great price. Love catching lunch here with family.

Wow. So incredibly delicious. As a family we tried the cinnamon roll, scones, pancakes, French toast, and biscuits and gravy. Absolutely nothing disappointed. It was hot, fresh and the service was so great. Highly recommend!

The breakfast was good. The kids loved their hamburger, the fries were just right, and the hamburger my husband got was just the right portion. We'll be back again. Great customer service from our waitress. They have us water and let us know our waitress would be with us soon, came back several times to make sure everything was ok. Thank you for the hospitality.

Great local place. Very friendly. Food is very good. Scones are amazing!

Food was less than mediocre. I was hoping for a big juicy chicken breast and got what was basically a dry tenderloin. The scones were super tough. Atmosphere is fun but I don't recommend the food.

Quaint restaurant, food was fabulous, the scone based taco. Our server, and I hope her name was Emma, was simply the best!

Service was excellent. Food was a little slow coming out, but not a big deal. Server was really friendly. Food was good. Prices were really good. Side pork was an excellent choice. Biscuits weren't great, but the gravy was good. Hashbrowns were nice and crispy. Eggs were cooked almost perfect. Bacon was good. Worth a stop

Food was great but service was poor. Waitress was not attentive and felt like being there messed up her day. Had to hunt her down to get refills and to get the check. Was one of two tables the waitress was attending to. Would recommend for food quality but not service overall customers beware may get the same waitress. She may of had an off day so gave 3 stars instead of 2.

I have had some great meals here. On the day in question, the meal wasn't quite up to par. Ordered the lunch special which included a dinner salad, bread bowl with soup and a scone. Both salads were thrown together a bit sloppy, 2 cucumbers on one and 1 on the other. Croutons a couple on 1 and a handful on the other. Worst part, "COLD SCONES"!
The scones matter to me because there one of my favorites from here.
The waitress didn't check up on us the whole time, nor fill our coffees. Let's just say, not my favorite day, but usually great food & great service, which is why I gave them 4 stars.
