Great family run restaurant. We are visiting from out of state and looking for a local place to try and we were not disappointed. Our meals (chicken fried steak and sausage steak dinners) were both delicious and very filling. They highlight their in house made sausage and it deserves the praise. The flavor is as perfect as advertised. The restaurant is also clearly a local favorite which is always a good sign. We will definitely be back if we find ourselves in Vernal.

They need to go to Idaho Falls, Idaho to learn how to prepare Broasted chicken. Small portions and high prices. Friendly service, which is a plus nowadays.

Stopped in Vernal for the night and found this gem. Our food was so good for dinner that we came back for breakfast the next morning. Your portions are huge and it’s very inexpensive for how good it tastes.

I gave this place a 3 star review on Yelp because the aggregate score was more correct in my opinion than what I'm seeing here. For that reason, I'm going 2 stars to try to make the average a bit more accurate. The employees here are great; friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The gift shop is fun, and the location and ambiance is perfect. The food though, that's where things start to go downhill. It's the most average food I've had in a long time, and I haven't even eaten at a restaurant in 4 months due to the pandemic so you'd think I'd be particularly easy to please. The fish and chips came with good meaty fish that was very dense, but the fries could not have been more basic. They had zero salt, no seasoning of any kind, and were just your basic average french fry. One member of our group got sick and was throwing up a few hours later. We had a group of 23 who came here and I think between all of us we ordered nearly everything on the menu. Nothing was great, some things were downright bad, but most everything was just okay.

The food was pretty good. Good sized portions and had good tasting food. The service was really great and the food was made fast. The only downside to this place was there was only one place to pay for food and that was in the giftshop part of the building. I waited 20 minutes to pay for my food because other people were paying for things at one register. The gift shop had some cool things but they were a little bit overpriced. Definitely a family friendly place. Would go again.

We ate dinner here. Great tasting food. Large portions of food came with chicken fried steak and prime rib. Friday night prime rib steak is one of the special. It had great flavor and is so tender a must try. Great staff. The great atmosphere and home town dinner feel.

Delicious food and even better service. I had the Halibut, which was delicious and they were able to prepare it gluten-free and dairy-free. Others in my party had the ribs, which looked amazing. The scones were also a favorite for those who could devour them!

Small town charm with delicious food.
Stopped by for dinner and found excellent service and hot food.
Enjoyed the soups, salads, fresh scones and the ambiance. Breaded pork chops with country gravy didn't disappoint.
Also, the sausage patty burger was delicious.

Trout meal was great! Included soup, salad, large filleted trout, vegetables & your choice of potatoes. Excellent scones with a hint of sweet included!
