The place has a great vibe and is very welcoming. But the quality of $5+ is not matched by the vibe. It was poorly made cappuccino with stiff froth, temp lukewarm, I could feel the coffee grinds, cheap coffee taste and for a large coffee, there was barely much in the cup. The cup was dripping froth all over as if the barista didn’t care.

I would come here for the vibe, not for the coffee.

It's always so nice inside this little shop! Everyone is very welcoming and kind and the food/coffee selection is great. I love their chai and cold brew! I always stop down here whenever I visit salt lake.

Been here a few times and unfortunately each time I go I feel less and less inclined to come back. The coffee is ok and I feel that the only good food is not made in house. Today the service was lacking as I watched the baristas forget to serve me my smoothie (which should be called a juice based on its consistency) for 5 minutes and serve a couple patrons that ordered coffee drinks after me. Don’t think I’ll be coming back on a weekday due to the fact that almost everyone “works from home” there

Went here when visiting slc, I’m typically very particular with my coffee and have a specific taste for my local coffee shop ( Buzzbru ) I’ve tried several other coffee shops over the years and always been disappointed, however this shop was delicious and the employees were super sweet. Environment was bustling and lively for such a little shop.
The edible glitter is so much fun!

my first time here, i will definitely be returning. the dog-friendly patio is great, so much more seating than I was expecting. i ordered an iced chagaccino, which was the perfect balance of coffee, flavor, and not too sweet! (i have a lot of barista experience so i can be a bit picky) the turkey pesto sandwich was really great as well. i also ordered a nutella croissant, which was almost the size of my head. definitely worth it. everything was priced fairly, the employees were kind and attentive. it was way busier than i thought it would be for a weekday, with a line almost to the back of the store the entire time i was there. lots of people studying and working there which shows its a great environment! it’s good to see local businesses staying busy. i will support this places growth and will be bringing friends with me next time! the ONLY suggestion i have is maybe a more visible menu or handheld menu for people in line.

As someone who misses coffee houses from Washington state; this was great. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but so is the quality of food. If nothing else it's a great spot to start a day of exploring

Sugar House Coffee is one of those places you’d still go even if it sucked. It’s a reprieve for many and the open and accepting vibes are what lots of people in the area need in their community. The good news is, the food and coffee do not suck. in fact I’m hard pressed after dozens of visits to think of a bad cup or snack I’ve ordered. I cannot 🙃 the vegetarian options are plentiful and I constantly cycle through their fun specialty drinks. Sure sometimes the line is long and seating is minimal but ummm.. it’s obvs for a reason.
It’s a great place to work or study for those of us who need a little hum of background noise to keep us focused.
Tip 💸 big here dear reader, the service industry can be brutal.

Love this place. So welcoming to everyone and the food and drinks are great! Always so busy too! Also one of the bigger coffee shops around.

Super cute place that's quite well hidden in my opinion. Store is not open for inside sit down but there's outdoor seating and there's 1 window to order from (drive through window) which confused my friend and I so waiting in lines along with cars was interesting. Awesome workers! Masks required (thank you!) And just overall cute. Park in back if you're gonna park ha dont park in front because if a line forms good luck getting out 0.o

I don't change this place for any other. The coffee is great, the staff is always helpful, and the sense of community is strong. Extra point for being a safe space for any kind of minority.
