This is best coffee/pastry shop Salt Lake can offer. The ambiance, decor, space, cleanliness are all top quality. Knowing that most people are going to give it a 5 star, I’m giving it 1 star to reflect disappointment for one reason- owner tends to like to schmooze with only younger women. When I come to the cafe by myself, I always felt unwelcome or dismissed, even when I try to be friendly. That’s fine, but when I am with female friends, the owner is not dismissive and suddenly becomes friendly towards the girls. The younger guys and one lady has always been kind towards us. The cafe is often filled with college girls who like to work there, often like to talk about how welcoming the cafe is. Got nothing against the owner, very much admire what he has done with the business and the exceptional work on the decor, but would have been great if he was consistent with customer service and not choosy based on gender. It always amazes me how businesses and society today taunt “inclusivity” and “diversity” but exclude males who are dressed business casual, have no tattoos or body art but others who are women, or with trendy appearance , LGBT etc are more accepted as part of the community and preferred for small talks. This is a pattern I see everywhere not just at the Roasting Co

My first time in but I plan on coming back. The coffee (dirty chai) was exactly what I needed and I really enjoyed a slice of a very fresh almond cake. This is a great place to take a break from the day or meet a friend. Parking in back is also very convenient.

This is the only local coffee shop in the city I can stand. The customers are friendly yet mind their business and the service is superb not to mention they have the best coffee in the valley!!!

Great collection of coffee and they roast every 2-3 days which is great.
Excellent ambience. Great menu for meals as well.

Love love love the café mocha, and the baristas are always really kind. Their quiche is also quite something. You can never go wrong with a few of the espresso beans. The interior is also awesome. I love the mix of the old-school and industrial style.

This place is pure "Evil" and always gets me in trouble with the deserts they offer. Amazing coffee and the staff is outstanding. Very clean.

I've been to both the old location and now the new. Although the new location is a little smaller, i like how they kept the same vibe and layout and it just seems more cozy and put together compared to their massive space back then. Coffee was great!

The coffee is fresh, it's laid back, quirky, and they have an old dog, what's not to like?

The coffee, the service and the restaurant itself are great. The food was not bad.

Wonderful small coffee shop, branch of the main shop, with a variety of coffee, tea, and bottled drinks, as well as delicious pastries. Great integration with the library as well as the atrium market.
