Yo this place is epic! Great seating options for all, I mean PLENTY! Excellent espresso and cappuccino! Menu is bountiful and has something for everyone, even your dog! Free wifi and wall outlets everywhere! This place is great if you need to study, write, think, or just hang out with friends on one of the many comfy couches available! 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone! I will now become a frequent costumer!!!

Great place to hang out. The staff here are friendly and the drinks are good. Spacious enough that you can almost always find a table. Good playlist, not too loud.

Cool place to hangout and have coffee. Very spacious.

Chuck Phillips

Friendly. Loved the personality and decor. Had a very good latte.

There was only one guy working there when I visited so I'll cut him some slack but my drink was cold and expensive $5.

Went to this coffee shop several times every time is pleasant. Other than the times when a certain barista is working. I prefer local coffee shops but the barista with tattoos on her triceps and blue eyes has too much attitude. The others are amazing and make amazing coffee! I order a 20oz Carmel macchiato with 2 extra shots of espresso, 4 total. It cost $6.17. Literaly across the street is Starbucks ordering the same but with 5 espresso shots is $5.77. If making coffee causes you to roll your eyes when someone enters. Or by them placing a straw in a cup and having a little extra spill out. Or by asking for a napkin to clean your mess, Because the Napkin dispenser is empty. Why be a barista? It's the welcoming hippie vibes that make a small coffee shop worth the little extra money for coffee. It just sucks I live close by, and will now go to Starbucks across the street. Because of one barista who rolls her eyes for anything. Hopefully she just works there and the owner can look into her. One bad apple can destroy a small business.

They have very delicious coffee and the bagels taste fresh from the oven.

The coffee quality is extremely poor; but it’s a great place to hang out, especially late at night.

I am updating my review to 4 stars because I realize that coffee break is first a place to hang out, and second a place to have a drink. Their target audience are not connoisseurs, bur rather students chilling out and studying.

This place was so fun and lively. Everything felt very safe with covid policies in place, but it was still lively with plenty of people without feeling crowded. We went late just for some hot chocolate and to chat and it was the perfect place. The staff was super friendly and so positive. They definitely contributed to the great atmosphere of the place. What a great find downtown.

I wanted to really like this place and have been multiple times to give it many many chances. It is definitely the most convenient coffee shop for a college student. It is only about 5 minutes away from the University of Utah. It is open late and there is accessible parking in the back. The coffee shop has a very "local" feel to it. There are a decent amount of wall plugs and many usual drink options.

Overall, it sounds like the perfect place, however, I have run into more problems coming here than benefits. For instance, most times that I come into the coffee shop, I come in to use their wifi. I focus better outside of my house and around others who are also busy studying. I buy my $6-$7 drink expecting to be able to use their wifi and services, but THEIR WIFI NEVER WORKS because there's always too many people on it. I have asked them if there is any way to get it to work and their solution is to just wait for it or "it is just like this when too many people come in". I would think the shop would buy another wifi router after multiple people are not able to connect to the wifi on multiple occasions. If they are able to serve that many people, their services should work as well for their customers. Another complaint is that their bathroom is normally dirty. I understand why it can be locked and a key has to be given to the patron, but at least keep it somewhat okay. I have also heard about political views from the staff that do not seem acceptable, but that is not the focus of the review.

I believe if a customer comes in to use an establishment's services, they should at least work most of the time. It is disappointing to continue to spend money at their place and just sit there for an hour waiting for the wifi to work, eventually just leaving because it just never ends up working.
