This is the best coffee shop in Utah! Salt Lake Coffee Break has amazing coffee, pastries, customer service, internet, and atmosphere. The people here are very friendly! It is very laid-back.
During June and July, it can be a little hot inside, even with their AC on but they have fans running all the time. Nevertheless, they are always open-late which is what makes this place a top spot to go.

The coffee is great. They have a bunch of different kinds. The internet is pretty fast. But the most important is the customer service. I locked myself out of my car and the managers never gave up and opened the car for me. Thank you so much!.

This place is always friendly and accommodating. They have great coffee, WiFi and will do what they can to make your visit rewarding. The comfortable, homey seating makes small meetings or getting together with friends very inviting.

Great coffee and staff, and the only place you can find a 20 something explaining macro economics to a 40 year old at 12:30 in the morning.

If you are from Salt Lake you should know about Coffee Break. I think went for the first time 15 years ago. Here is my brief breakdown
Pros
• Drinks & Food - I have never been disappointed
• Study Hall or WFH - this place usually is more social later at night (open til 2am most nights), during the day its a great place to spend a few hours. Quiet and chill, with plenty of space.
• Local art, there are some cool consignment pieces on the wall for sale.
Cons
• Hasn't been updated in a long time, it doesn't have the same crisp clean feel as some of the newer shops. The bathrooms have graffiti all over (old gas station bathroom vibes).
• You have to use a key to go to the bathroom. I'm guessing the issues are from the late hours. I feel like a coded lock would work a lot better if there needs to be one. You can program it to not be locked during the day and then automatically lock up at an hour. Then you can give people the code or even unlock it electronically from a phone or tablet at night.

They are open late, coffee is good, tons of options for seating if you’d like to lounge or study. Pastries are yummy and vibes are good. Only con is that the last few time I’ve been there the bathrooms have been pretty icky 🤷🏽♀️

A little ghetto, gets a hot in the summer, stays pretty warm in the winter. Large space and enough tables and chairs almost everyone. Coffee is 10/10. I have only ever had great experiences with the Baristas. This is a SLC gem.

At this point. This place is a salt lake city institution. Nothing really needs to be said. Great coffee and tea selection. Pastries too.
Tons of seating space. You could have a 20 person board meeting here and probably not displace regular customers.

Great coffee shop but disappointing that they still aren’t using coffee mugs two years after the pandemic started. That has nothing to do with hygiene. Apparently management would just prefer to contaminate the planet with excess plastic and paper waste. People’s coffee, as well as many others are back to using ceramic and glassware.
