It's okay, nothing to rave about but not bad either. Tots, waffle and a small drip coffee came in at $11 after a tip. Not bad, but not exactly a cheap spot to grab lunch either. Comparable to campus prices, but we all know we are paying a premium for the convenience there.
The coffee was good, but I wasn't a fan of what I ordered. The waffle had a weird texture, more like a biscuit, but with a softer/chewy middle instead of a bread-y one. I overheard somebody say it's vegan so maybe that's why it's a little strange...ha. Honestly I was kinda hoping for a diner style waffle so I was disappointed. Tots were perfectly golden, but I thought they were a little underdone. Not quite crispy enough on the outside and the middle had a slight bite of an undercooked potato. Sauce that came with was good!
Staff was nice and friendly and it has a nice aesthetic. No public wifi-guessing that's to keep people from staying too long so they can turn over tables. Baked goods in the case under the register were no more than $3. I'd come back, but just for coffee and a pastry....skipping the menu food next time.
This place takes over feom Big Ed's, a campus institution since 1968. With a somewhat eclectic menu, coffee products and beer. A more upscale coffee experience with a laid back vibe.
Food was average quality however we came in 30 minutes before close, and were greeted with a condescending tone and snarky attitude. Upon checkout they reminded us multiple times that they were closing in 30 minutes. I understand the slight inconvenience, but that was not all. We received all food in to-go boxes, which were so kindly presented to us by the employee dropping the food on our table. Nonetheless, it was made evident that they perceived us as a burden. Overall, terrible reflection of the University and the hiring process.
Well it is definitely your average, overpriced, gentrified hipster spot. Was hoping it was something like Big Ed's where you get an absolutely gargantuan meal for $6 that you can split with a friend or two in between class. This place has a $7 toast that is quite literally a single piece of bread. Publik is pretty damn delicious honestly but it is a disappointment that this is what replaced Ed's. Everything that made Ed's a local legend is missing from this place and that would explain why no one talks about it on campus like they did with Ed's.
So so yummy. The big salad was so delicious. Loved all the pickled veggies, burger was so good as well. Staff was super nice and loved sitting outside. My hubby said the chili was the best chili he’s ever had. Will definitely be going back on the regular. Great job!!!
Pleasantly surprised to find this little coffee shop by the University. I used to go to Big Ed’s all the time and they’ve done a good job keeping the old charm of the location alive while making it a really nice coffee shop with delicious fresh food and not very expensive.
New place, only been once. The burger was really good, well cooked nice sauce, the onion relish jam was good and I don't like onion. $3 was a bit much for a side of some good off the shelf tater tots. The iced mocha wasn't well made, but they did just open. Pretty good food but a little pricy.

food was fine but service was not the best and music was too loud to hear orders being called

A great place to grab a well made espresso and breakfast on Saturday mornings.
