I love La Barba coffee, they have so many blends and it is just amazing. I love to consume local and I was very excited to go to their new shop at the Gateway mall (second floor, where Starbucks was a while back) but it seems their staff is not so happy to be there. The girls were not rude, but they were not upbeat, The coffee was great but I did not feel that the staff was willing to do anything but prepare your coffee. Not a hi or welcome or anything, they just wait to take your order and ask you to pay. Not feeling like coming back, sadly, but I know I can get their coffee someplace else.

Sad that you can have such a cute coffee place with such sad hot hot chocolate , looks like hot chocolate but just tastes like steamed milk, shop smelt pretty stinky as well.

Great coffee and wonderful employees. Both people working were gracious and helpful. I visited each day I was in town and had a great experience every time.

Very laid back atmosphere with interesting decor. Really good coffee and decent prices.

Great ambiance with a minimalist design. They have a great view on the 2nd floor. Their coffee is good and at a great price. I got 2 ice coffees and spent like 6 bucks. Better prices than Starbucks. They also have a friendly staff. This place is worth checking out and sitting outside to enjoy a cup of coffee

Nice folks but weak coffee. Tried both expresso and regular coffee but neither were good, very weak in flavor and watered down, its like they did not add enough bean to the order. Did not like the fact that the exspresso has flavor notes that was not described upon ordering. Hardly compares to any great coffee house I have ever visited. Overpriced and dissatisfying ;(

Great staff and good coffee, but management seems to be extremely cheap. 1 person on staff and nearly 20 customers - all wanting complicated drinks ordered. Starbucks is a better choice - they can afford to have multiple people on shift and you don’t have to wait long. Perhaps La Barba is struggling financially?

I come here daily and the service is always awesome. My go-to is their espresso and the kouign amann pastry is a must-try!

Not only is the coffee superb... The staff, particularly Mikah, was a joy to see care for all customers. As I sat reading and drinking my coffee, enjoying the music, I was overcome with love. Thank you

Always enjoyed going in here. However, today 12/29 I went in at 5:09 to get my usual coffee and was told they were closing early. No signs on the door or anything to give me a heads up that this would be happening today. That’s what I get for being loyal to them when I had a chance to grab Starbucks over at city creek. Won’t make the same mistake twice!
