This place deserves 5 stars. In southern Utah hiking and needed a place to stop for lunch. Searched Yelp and found this place had many 5 star reviews. Owned by a single mom living out her dream to open a small gluten free, healthy restaurant. We were greeted by a very friendly girl who we asked what she recommended. We ordered the Hunter and my husband ordered the Ciao Chow. Both were soo good. Came with a delicious cucumber/watermelon/mint salad - so good! We will be coming back when we are passing through again.

The food was excellent. The bacon was perfect. Customer service was outstanding. They were very engaging and funny. But not in your face all the time. Such a cute, friendly homey place. They might need to add more seating outside because they were getting pretty busy while we were there.

Primitive waffle is the perfect place to stop by if you are headed to brian head! The food was absolutely amazing, perfect flavor and came quick for how busy they were.
All the food is gluten free so it’s perfect for those with allergies and it is at no extra cost. All the waffles are around $9-11.
My only complaint is that they are not open everyday, but maybe one day!

This place was suggested by a family member that had heard good things about this place through word of mouth. So we gave it a shot. As we waited for them to arrive i looked over the menu and thought there was no way I'm going to like this healthy and organic food! I was wrong, the food was so flavorful and well cooked. The staff and owner were more then helpful and so kind. Hope nothing changes and wish you guys the best with your business!!!!

Excuse my half eaten waffle in the picture, I couldn’t help myself. This is a great little hole in the wall cafe to have an enjoyable meal. The waffle was delicious! Perfectly tasty … and gluten free! I’ll be back!

This has been the best waffle I have put in my mouth that is gluten free 🤩🤩🤩 We had the Gatherer and the Mother town and split it. Mother town was savory and amazing! Gatherer was sweet and equally amazing. I just want to eat all my meals here 😆😆😆

PHENOMENAL!
It looked so good that I didn't even remember to take a picture before I started in. That's my bad, because presentation was excellent... You'll just have to judge from my partially eaten plate!
This place takes what you used to know as "waffles" and reconstructs it into sandwich masterpieces. Who'd have thunk? Waffle sandwiches... But believe me, this is worth the drive!
The Everything Waffle is a completely new take on a waffle, and paired to the "Primitive" with roast beef, where have you been all my life?
I'll be driving the 18 miles from Cedar City to test out everything on the menu!

Savory and sweet waffles.
Small, adorable place. The food is fantastic. Dining area and restroom is clean.
Kid area to color or read.
Two small couches to sit and drink your latte.

Best. Food. Everrrr. I had the sunrise sandwich on a garlic waffle, an oat milk latte, and a gluten free chocolate chip cookie. The service was incredibly fast and the staff are warm and welcoming. The shop is behind another shop on main street, but parking was easy. Definitely coming back again!

On a road trip heading back home from Arizona to Idaho. We normally just stop in Parowan for gas but decided to get lunch as well. The Primitive Waffle will now be a regular stop. As soon as you walk in , you are greeted with big smiles from the staff. Since it was our first time, they explained theMenu and different options. We both went with waffle sandwiches. The waffles are made with Almond Flour and are light and fluffy. Mine was the "Yo Adrian" (Philly Cheesesteak) on a garlic waffle. The waffle had just a hint of garlic so it didn't overpower the rest of the sandwich. The meat was tender and flavorful. I think I like my Philly Cheesesteaks this way instead of on a roll. He had "The Hunter" on the original waffle. It had cheese, turkey, ham, bacon, and a fried egg. The perfect brunch sandwich. Their teas are cold and brewed fresh daily. The cucumber melon is one of the best iced teas that I have ever had. The owner/chef checked on us twice to make sure all was good. We decided to get two mini cardamom doubts sprinkled with cinnamon sugar to go. Of course we didn't make it too far before devouring them.
