Moore's Family Restaurant (The Original)

I had heard from people at work that the food was good. I didn't think it was. The coffee was brown water. The bacon was a little on the rare side. The bisquits and gravy were good, along with the salsa. I had the hungryman breakfast. The service was good. Again, like most places these days, it was loud. People like to talk loudly in today's world. I jokingly told my wife that I couldn't wait until I got hearing aids so I could turn them off when we went to restaurants.

So my dad and I got yelled at by a waitress for asking if we can have our pancakes a little later than our meal. Then when we didn't want to talk to the waitress, who was not ours, the manager told us to take our business elsewhere. So we got kicked out of a restaurant that we went to weekly for years cause a waitress yelled at us. We have never had any real issue with the food or staff until today.

I wish I lived here, I would make this my breakfast spot! Being from Memphis i know what a home cooked breakfast should taste like and they did just that with their breakfast.
Plus the restaurant had that homey feeling. Thank you all.

Great, fast service. It's like they knew what we were going to order before we got there. The portions were good and it was a classic diner atmosphere. We will be back!!

Fast, friendly. Great food, great price. Waitress recommended the french toast meal, which included eggs and bacon. I added sausage and hashbrowns. Sausage patties were large and fresh made. Hashbrowns were perfectly crisp on the outside. Syrup was hot. I think my only complaint was the bacon was just a little too crispy. It wasn't burnt, so the flavor was good, but it was crisp enough to snap. I just tend to prefer my bacon a little softer. Overall excellent place to eat.

This was my first time visiting the restaurant and I throughly enjoyed it. The food was great and Itzel the server was EXCELLENT. Best service I've had in while I will visit again!!!

Had a great breakfast. 5 of us. We all haven’t seen each other in about 4-5 years. So needless to say, a lot to catch up on - and quite lost in conversation. At about 11:30a, Sunday, 4/14/19 - a waitress came over (not our waitress who served us) and said while picking up the last of our plates: “Are you all done? Don’t mean to rush you, but we have people waiting for this table.” I was a little shocked to say the least. It was the big corner booth (5+) to the right as you walk in. Perhaps this is their policy (time limit on tables when busy), for which I will not be coming back. From reading some reviews, this odd/rude behavior is the norm.

Well I appreciate when it gets busy. Yes, indeed quite challenging to balance competing priorities. No I will not be back. I’m inferring here that you think it’s ok to do this to customers. There are plenty of other great breakfast places that understand this. Thanks for the reply.

Amazing customer service! Always fresh yummy food! I love this place for their biscuits and gravy they are always so quick and friendly and I’ve never been disappointed here.

Great food, atmosphere and waitresses. Lots if food for the money. I could only eat half of the I ordered. Servings are huge. Scones are a must try when there. It could easily be split between two people they are so huge!

Classic diner. I loved that parking was in back with easy access. The booths felt more open. Everyone was responsful and very quick to get the food. I really enjoyed my first Moore's Family experience.
