Genuine, unpretentious, welcoming atmosphere. High quality drinks. We come to Lalo's because it's relatively quiet with plenty of seating and has a wide variety of "standard" coffee shop drink options as well as horchata, conchas, and other fabulous options. A real gem.

Tried this place for the first time today, got a large horchata latte and it was the best! The employee who made it had such a welcoming vibe and she was so so sweet and made the best latte!! Definitely coming back!

Buuuuuut.... NOT covid safe, and honestly disappointing on the thoughtfulness of personal safety in regards to food handling.

Pastries are self serve, baskets are reusable with no liners available. Gloves were set out, but the only thing we were offered to place our food in to go was a shopping bag that the employee put his hand into to open it up. We ended up having to toss them due to safety concerns. (They did also look like they had been picked over and had been sitting out for awhile).

The coffee was good, but had texture. It took some getting used to, but the flavor was really nice!

I feel like normal people would really enjoy this place. Our experience was just ours, and we have a lot going on. Hopefully when the pandemic is a little more under control, we can visit again, and earlier in the day for fresher items, more variety, and come prepared with our own container to take them home in.

The place is pretty small. The quality of the coffee wasn't too good either. Limited menu.

Usually have a good experience here and always have great drinks but this morning had an awkward rude experience with the girl employee. We were told the manzanita cafe never existed even when we explained we had ordered it last week and saw it in the store’s Instagram but she claimed you guys have never had it. We were also trying to ask if the store’s number had changed because every time we call we never get an answer so we curious if we maybe call during the store’s busy hours or if the store has a new number and we were told “well the phone’s right there” by the same employee. I’ll probably only go when the other girl is there, I’m not sure what her name is but she’s always nice when I go compared to this girl 😅 Every employee has been nice so far so I don’t know if this was her first day or if she was just having a bad morning lol
I understand if you guys are too busy to answer the phone just wanted to ask which hours were best to call if we have any questions because I know some store’s have certain hours were they get a big rush like lunch time. We were trying to ask if doing call in orders were acceptable because some menu items aren’t on the website.

Great cappuccino and barista was very nice and attentive.

I enjoyed my Horchata Coffee, my first time having this great concoction.

Very disappointed. Neither the Cafe de Olla nor the Champurrado were good. Both were so watered down and not made well.. All of the trays to select the pastries were full of crumbs, where they were very obviously not wiped nor sanitized (exactly what we do not need in the middle of a pandemic).The bread and cookies were good, but selection is minimal. The atmosphere is a bit hipster, a bit Mexican retail. I get where the vision is, but the flavors have to be authentic, which they are absolutely not. Two stars, because the pastries and cookies were good.
