The place to be on a Saturday morning, apparently! You did have to wait a bit for the food after ordering, but the servers were quite efficient and the food was worth the wait. Fantastic biscuits and gravy, strawberry jam and country fried potatoes. Cinnamon roll was tasty too. Drip coffee was strong - coffee shop strength, not diner strength? Great way to fuel up before a hike in Garner State Park

Good food, good service. The Amisharesuch loving, happy people turns out they can cook very well! Just don't eat here if you're a scofflaw- every state trooper within 25 miles was having lunch!

On 07/24/21, my river buddies & I went for the first time. The establishment was a cool, welcoming environment. The servers were pleasant. The food, HOMEMADE!!! The pancakes, with sliced cinnamon apples, is my favorite. I realized late they had lattes & freshly shaken energy fruit drinks. We will be back!

Very satisfying breakfast!!
I ordered the french toast with bacon, and I highly recommend it. I don't know if it was the "best breakfast" because we didn't go anywhere else in Uvalde, but I was certainly not disappointed with my selection.
The server was pleasant, and attentive (but not overly so, which I appreciate).
I wish we could come back for lunch, but alas, the open road calls... Maybe we will make another trip to try their lunch menu.

Great food made with love and tradition. They do have some specialty dishes that are a little different. I highly recommend the Swiss grilled cheese on sourdough with a sweet jalepeño jam and bits of bacon. It is one most unique flavors I have ever experienced. Not because it has never been done but because they have crafted an exceptional way of blending the flavors. Soup we had was great. They have amazing pies cookies and cinnamon rolls. Definitely worth your time.

I went here recently and I really enjoyed it! The service was very good. The restaurant was very well decorated! It has a nice country feel to it (which I love!). I got a Cinnamon roll and fried potatoes! They were both really good! I ABSOLUTELY love the cinnamon rolls here!!! They are the best you'll ever find!!! I just wish that I still lived in Uvalde...😏

VERY, VERY IMPRESSED! I drove into town, needing something sweet for new customers at the hospital. Talk about finding a pot of gold. I have to travel for work and have been able to try food from all over. I ordered cupcakes, cookies and some other sweets and I was immediately impressed! Talk about absolutely delicious! The service was excellent and all the young ladies were pleasant, informative and eager to help. I plan to make a trip back to Uvalde especially to eat one of the delicious looking meals from Open Range Cafe!
