This place is super cute and has incredible coffee and food! All of us were craving something different for breakfast and we got what we wanted! The chocolate chip waffle plate was very filling. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The breakfast tacos are HUGE and super good as well. The salsa is homemade and very flavorful. They have alternative milk (soy, almond, coconut) if you can’t have dairy and corn tortillas if you can’t eat flour. We were so satisfied. The employees are also very attentive and kind even when it’s super busy. Definitely come by and check it out!

Made a quick stop at this seemingly cute coffee shop that I stumbled upon by chance. The windows were tinted with marketing showing examples of items available to order inside. The shop is near a corner with a parking lot. Seating was available inside with bar stools against the window as well as regular tables and chairs.
The space was well-lit with hanging bulbs throughout the ceiling creating a modern ambience. It was a busy place with noise and chatter amongst the tables.
I ordered a chai latte frappe for myself and a green tea latte frappe for my partner along with one of the cinnamon rolls they had on display. They were limited with dairy alternatives so I ended up just requesting regular milk. They had either the classic cinnamon roll or with buttercream on top. I went with the buttercream for a change.
While waiting for our order, one of the servers asked if we would like espresso in the chai latte. I accepted the suggestion. Upon receiving our order, the green tea frappe did not have a very strong flavor and was more on the sweet side. The chai latte had a very mild chai flavor as the espresso was overpowering it. My partner and I wound up trading our drinks.
The shop was getting ready to close a short while after we ordered and they handed us our food in a to-go styrofoam container. I ended up exiting the shop and opened it to see that it was a red velvet muffin. I went back to the door and let a staff member know, who was getting ready to lock the door. She stated they wanted to go home because they were open since 7 AM. Despite this, she was very accommodating and retrieved the correct item quickly. I was also happy to see that she warmed it. I ended up enjoying the roll and the buttercream flavor.
The front door was locked, but there was an alternate exit that lead to the parking lot located towards the back. There was still a number of parties seated at the shop despite them closing and it did not seem like they were being rushed out, which was nice to see.
Overall it was a positive experience and a well laid out shop. I would definitely return if I was in the area again, but perhaps would like to try other drink items they have to offer.

Restaurant manager and daughter team …absolutely amazing, The Local Fix is cozy, warm, clean and filled with love and has the best coffee in Uvalde, Texas! My partner Fred and I truly appreciate the wonderful customer service and genuine spirits the mother and daughter team that’s running this amazing find! Bravo to The Local Fix job well done!

When we walked in it looked like a coffee shop but the lady up front mentioned they sell food
We took a seat and checked out the menus
The prices for breakfast were reasonable
Service was quick and the waitresses were friendly
Food was delicious and coffee was yummy also!
I’d definitely like to stop by for lunch one day if we are passing thru again
I did see someone with their dog there so I’m assuming they are pet friendly because the dog did not show signs of being a service dog

The best breakfast and brunch place in Uvalde. Must try breakfast croissant sandwich and omelette with potatoes. The cold brew with vanilla sweet cream is awesome.

This place is a gem in Uvalde. One of the best cups of coffee! It was worth the wait! We had a party of 7, waited about 15 mins give or take. Place filled up quickly. I can see why. Their pecan pancakes are amazing! They also have a motel behind it. Which would be convenient if you were to stay here.

Delicious frappe that is surprisingly not too sweet. Great atmosphere and facility.
Will be here all the time if I live in Uvalde

My girlfriend and I dined at THE LOCAL FIX on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 after a recommendation from the Uvalde Airport. Our experience was less than satisfactory.
I ordered an omelet and iced tea, but the meal wasn't delivered to our table until 30 minutes had passed. Luckily, we were not in a hurry that morning, the number of customers in the restaurant did not validate such a long wait for our food.
Furthermore, the entire meal, including my girlfriend's breakfast entre, was luke-warm. We were most disappointed. The brewed tea was almost tasteless...even with a couple of packs of sugar added.
The flavor of the food was slightly less than average. The temperature of the facility was COLD! We asked for a thermostat adjustment as the draft from the air vents caused us to shiver.
I don't think we'll give this location another try in the future as the seating/tables was a tight fit, and the cooking area was visible to all as you enter the front door. Three stars is the BEST I can offer this restaurant, but I was leaning toward two stars.

Attentive and expedient service. The Breakfast Croissant tasted very good, drip coffee was hot and good, the mixed fruit cup was a nice mix of fresh tasting, bite size green apple and strawberries.
We stopped overnight in Uvalde on our drive from Houston to Terlingua. The reviews and menu photos appealed to me, so we ate breakfast here. We're making a point to stop in Uvalde (versus San Antonio) on our way back to Houston, stay the night, and have breakfast at The Local Fix.
Yes, that impressed.
See y'all on Tuesday 9th, Amber!
