Third Gen Coffee

I wanted an alternative to Starbucks that tasted like quality. I got a medium oat milk honey and nutmeg drink and was surprised that TWO SHOTS OF ESPRESSO WERE INCLUDED FOR ONLY LIKE 5 BUCKS total! 10/10 would recommend. It was everything I was looking for in a coffee shop with price quality and flavor. Super rich and smooth flavor. AMAZING!!!!

Friendly service, great coffee, community place to hang out!! Indoor with two floors plus outdoor patio!!! Signature drinks are wonderful!!!

**Edited 7 months later** I wanted to add more to my review because I love this place so much. I’ve been here 10-15 times now and I’m always happy with the coffee, atmosphere and staff. It’s one of those unique, high quality Houston gems and I’ve even learned that the coffee beans are sourced from the owner’s farm. I’ve told everyone at work about Third Gen and I’m proud to support this small business and see them flourish. They’ve also inspired me to venture out and try more local cafes instead of just keeping Starbucks my go-to.

The service was impeccable! Staff made delicious recommendations for myself, as it was my first visit, and had a lavender latte. The syrups made in house and the coffee was extremely smooth. Will be back next time in town :)

This is the best coffee I've ever had. It is a beautiful place inside, perfect for studying or hanging out. Everyone there is very kind and helpful and they always make the drinks right. I've tried almost every item on the menu and I haven't been disappointed once. The food is also excellent here!

I've visited all the coffee shops in The Woodlands and surrounding Magnolia looking for good coffee. After living in Europe for a number of years, a good espresso is hard to find. 3rd gen is by far the best tasting coffee I've found in the area. Always consistent and delicious. I love their almond milk and even their flavored lattes are great.

Coffee was on point and the ham and cheese croissant was good too. It had a little kick with the sriracha mayo!

First time here. Got a hot coffee, a Bear Claw, and a Red Velvet Muffin. Staffers were friendly and atmosphere was very welcoming. Service was fast. Coffee was good and satisfying. Sweets were also very good. Very satisfied with this visit and am glad I came.

Can't rate the food yet, but staff and drinks are great. Love the merch ideas and the dog-friendliness.

Excellent specialty coffee and fantastic service with a very clean and cozy environment.
I look at three things right away at coffee shops:
Do they care about their beans? Yes, roast dates on everything, and offer single source beans.
Do they have decent machines? La Marzocco. Enough said.
Do they have a good atmosphere? Third Gen smashes this one. Decent amount of space on main floor, but the loft is perfect for studying and even has a convenient restroom.
