We used to really like Haystacks, but they have changed their menu. The food was semi-adequate, albeit overpriced. Their hashbrowns are amongst the worst that we have ever had, served in a 'scoop' and really doughy. However, their bacon is probably the best we have ever had, and their pancakes are HUGE!
This last time we went we brought guests from out of town, and they really didn't enjoy it either.
Meh. Good for a quick trendy spot to grab a bite, but we probably won't be back again. There is much better fare to be had for less money.

I’ve eaten here for breakfast and dinner during their busiest hours and both times i have had an extraordinary experience! Their service is almost upscale for being out here in the sticks. I love feeling almost fancy when my husband and i go on dates here. The food and alcohol are amazing, and yes get the Salmon!

Ordered steak medium- came out pink on inside and burnt on outside. They held it to the flame (you can literally taste it as well as the burnt). You can feel when the AC kicks off, as the sweat streams down. The garlic broccoli was good. The extremely loud music was ok, just made it hard to hear waitress as well as each other.

Excellent food and service! Wide-variety menu with something for everyone, plus a full bar. We were traveling through on I-30 and I’m so glad we stopped to eat and see the lovely revitalized downtown area. Everything we ate was impeccably made.

Best restaurant find for our group. 19 of us came into Sulphur Springs to eat and this is by far the best food, wait staff and kitchen we have found. Thank you to the owner for accommodating us on short notice.

We were driving home from Daingerfield state park and wanted to stop and grab a quick bite in Sulphur Springs. I saw Haystacks on google and decided to give it a try. We ordered fish tacos, sautéed mushrooms and spinach, a burger and fries. The fish tacos were really good. We added a little Tapatio sauce and they were great. Huge chunks of mango in the mango salsa. My husband hurt himself on the white queso. Then we tried the Hannibal burger. Just dang. Best burger I have ever had. In. My. Life. It was a rib meat patty with pulled pork, bacon, some sweet sort of carmelized bbq sauce, pickled jalapeños and onion rings (ordered on side for hubs). It also came with cheese which I didn’t order bc allergies. They had gluten free buns, but I bet the brioche bun it came with would be amazing. Hubs said the cheesecake was wonderful. The place is adorable. Farmhouse quaint. Full bar. Outstanding service, even on a busy Sunday afternoon. Cute Main Street location with outdoor tables, but it’s 100 degrees out, so maybe a spring fall thing. Will definitely go back!

The food is delicious, the service is great. The random treats the owner makes are always superb.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was welcoming, the decor is beautiful, and the staff was very friendly. The coffee bar and pastries were divine. It was such a pleasure talking to the owners and hearing their vision for the restaurant. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there!
