Damn Fine Coffee and Fried Pies

Got me a breakfast pie smothered in gravy and a mocha iced coffee. Will definitely be back next time I visit the area. I like the neighborhood it's in. Close to the water and surrounded my cute houses.

Reasonably priced. Love the vast outdoor seating area and they filled our bicycling water bottles for free. Only thing I would say could improve is maybe the ability to sample something, having more indoor space (maybe even some for indoor eating so that on rainy days you don’t have to eat in your car, I’m guessing that is what people do) but these are minor things and overall it’s a great place. Even during the lockdown and pandemic they served everyone with a smile. I also like being able to support small and local businesses. Their tater tots with awesome sauce is very good tasting for sure, and I love the pies.

Update: last time they oiled the tater tots a bit more than usual and gave me too little awesome sauce. Then they gave me a bit much. Still love this place overall and pies were as good as normal.

Update: the place caught fire on December 23, 2021. They are repairing it and had more smoke damage than fire damage. Interior has to unfortunately be completed gutted and re-done.

Unique decor with an even more unique menu. Lots of coffee beverages and pies that were delicious, will come back here if I’m around the area again.

I met Melvis at a farmer’s market and he introduced me to their GREAT cold brew coffee. He was really nice, funny and an all around great person. He took the time to talk to my wife and I about their individual coffee blends and suggested the Electric Voodoo blend because it has lower acidity and wouldn’t effect my heartburn as much. I have drank nothing else but the Electric Voodoo blend since then, and it actually does not upset my stomach like other coffees. We have also been to the store location twice. Food is great, service is great and as always, the coffee is damn fine. I would highly suggest them to anyone! Even if you don’t drink coffee stop by for the food.

Customer service was great! Nice little outside area under the trees to sit under and they have a little stage setup. Awesome coffee as well! We will definitely be back here for sure!

This place is so relaxing, with outdoor tables under the trees and always a light breeze keeping everything cool. Absolutely nothing pretentious going on here, just great food and even better coffee. I recommend the fried pies with egg & sausage, and please get the tots; they are the best ever. Order extra Awesome Sauce -- it's that good!

What a gem of a place this is! Small business, big taste! Great fresh roasted on premises coffee, fried pies, both sweet and savory, beignets, eggs Benedict served over tater tots, cookies, scones plus beer and wine. Add to this beautiful quiet outdoor dining under old oak trees and live music, movies and community events and you have a neighborhood institution. Mel is a chef, serving unique and quality food in a cozy environment. No pictures of food because we devoured it.
