This place is cool! Great coffee! Cool atmosphere and colored straws! Super friendly and polite service also. Our barista Sol was awesome! Super cool spot. The cold brew is the best I’ve ever had and the ice is perfect.

I love this place!! It’s downtown and I live on the north side of SA but we always make the drive just for this coffee shop. My husband and I are huge coffee people and go to different shops frequently but Brown always stands out to us time and time again. Their quality of drinks is second to none. Even down to the type of oat milk they use (gum and additive free). The baristas are super knowledgeable and seem to truly enjoy their jobs. You can hang out at this spot for hours and not feel pressured to leave, etc. I’ll never stop bragging about Brown. Best spot for speciality coffee!

Great coffee and service. Best I have had in a while. The pour over and cappuccino were executed perfectly and tasted wonderful. If you like good coffee prepared well this is the place!

Wonderful coffee shop and great study spot downtown. Plenty of tables and wall plugs. Coffee is delicious and smooth. Friendly Barista, Madi. Excellent Indie music that's unobtrusive. The only downside is having to pay for parking if you can't find a spot on the street but there is validation for dine in for a certain amount of time if you buy a coffee.

The coffee here is ridiculously expensive for the location. The atmosphere is super basic and industrial, along with extremely untidy behind the scenes. Coffee only comes in two flavors, neither of which were good or of taste. The person made a Starbucks reference and thought... we could've gotten more for our $9 per cup coffee.

I love coming to Brown Coffee Co. The coffee and snacks are delicious. Definitely get their cold brew! It is full of flavor and will give you a kick you did not expect! This isn't a milkshake shop like the one with the mermaid everyone goes to. Come here for flavorful coffee and some interesting takes on it. I really enjoy their lime cold brew surprisingly. I even got a couple of bottles to take home. The last thing is the staff. They are super friendly and always happy to make a recommendation on what to get and serve you with a smile. They are amazing. Tip them well!

Can’t say enough good things about this place. When you go up to the counter they asked me what tasting notes I was looking for, which can be a bit intimidating, but they work with you and make the whole process accessible. I had an expensive ($11!) pour over that was life changing. I can say this was one of the best cups of coffee I’ve ever had. They put so much care and thought into a simple cup of black coffee that I find refreshing. I’m glad this place exists and hope it continues to thrive. If you’re on a quest for truly exceptional coffee, you need to try this. If you’re looking for frothy, sweet coffee milkshakes or other adulterated versions of this sacred beverage, I would look elsewhere.

Gorgeous spot with good study vibes. Has lots of seating and ambient music going. The cortave was the perfect amount of sweet while still having a strong coffee flavor. The barista was very friendly and even explained how they roast their own beans. Would recommend!

At $10.50 for a pour over, I expected the best coffee I've ever had... But that was not the case. It tasted weak and super under extracted. Coffee shop seems cool, but my experience was overpriced and under-delivered coffee.

First time visiting this seemingly popular location on a busy street. Situated in an area that has many shops and restaurants, they selected a great location. There is both a front and rear entrance. The rear entrance had seating outside as well as ample parking in a secured lot. The parking is validated for patrons visiting certain locations, including this one. The menu was short and straight forward. I went for the iced espresso with lactose-free milk. I inquired as to what type of milk it was and the server stated it was H-E-B brand. They did have other milk alternatives available as well.

The shop is an open concept layout from end to end and has plenty of seating. We came at a time where it was not busy so the shop seemed spacious and calming. This is a great atmosphere for anyone looking to get work done on their laptop, read a book, or have a client meeting. They do provide their wifi password located on their menu by the register. The shop also has merchandise available for sale.

The coffee was provided at the table my partner and I were seated at and it was in a plastic to-go cup with a sealed top similar to what bubble tea is usually sealed in. I did not get any syrup or flavor, but the coffee had a great taste. It was not too overpowering, but I would be curious to try the same drink with flavors.

Overall I had an enjoyable experience and would definitely return.
