Decent coffee, but extremely understaffed like other reviewers mentioned. I've waited 10-15 minutes for a drink a few times. Just too long for a mall shop. Proper training and equipment could cut down on their problems significantly.
This place is my overall favorite coffee joint. I thought it would be a weird combination but Iām obsessed with the tropical freeze. Prices are reasonable too
I don't know why I keep coming in here. Peer pressure š. Hoping it'll get better, but only gets worse. Over 15 smoothie options listed and you only have 2 right now? Always out of one thing or another, or everything. So called bakery and food options (store bought) are terrible. Boiled my tea so hot, still scalded my mouth 20 minutes after. Absolutely none of the ingredients look fresh, most comes from a powdered package.
We stop here every time we go to the mall! Everything is always made to perfection. They have sugar free options which I love! They accommodate almost any need you have. Very patient and friendly people working here!
I actually worked here, so inside scoop of why everyone says the baristas are undertrained. Most of the baristas get paid minimum wage or so, not horrible since there is room for a bump if you do well, but your "training" is typically 1 day. You dont get to take the drink-making recipes home so unless you've been there awhile theres very little chance you know what youre doing. For many, this is either their first coffee job or 2nd, the manager i worked under was orginally the retail manager. She is overworked most of the time since she is the only manager (when i was there). Food safety is a bit of a concern here. When I worked here, most people used their phones on the job when there was cleaning that couldve been done. Counters thick with syrup, dust, and general wipe down/ floor care. I ended up in an oil field job after maybe 2 weeks of working here, so thats bad on me, but if you do go i would suggest 1) a frap or 2) an americano. Please be nice to your baristas, they dont make oodles of money and most of them are college/ highschool kids. If you dont want to deal with inexperienced youth then simply go somewhere else. Imagine if you had kids and someone was berating them for messing up on a drink they were just learning.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I agree with the other reviewer that these baristas have no proper training whatsoever. FYI do not sit there and tell me a cold brew coffee is the same as an iced americano. All I wanted was a triple shot americano over ice with a little room. Even the "manager" had no idea what an americano is. If you must go here for a mid day caffeine fix just get one of those giant frappuccinos that have 1200 calories, should be easy enough to blend ice and espresso and add a crap load of chocolate caramel etc etc etc....well here's to hoping anyway. PS I'm a coffee shop owner and have been a barista most of my life. All I wanted was some decent coffee while I did my errands. Then acting like a turd because I didn't like what I didn't order isn't really appropriate.
I love my frozen chai with honey and cinnamon, I drive from Midland to Odessa just for this . But every time I come it's a different they make it, the last time I went , I got no honey and no whip, so I ask the girl , can I get some honey and cinnamon ph and whip, she told her partner this drink comes with whip, she answered she didn't ask for it , she wants honey too ? Too picky, I overheard it and I said. Well this was the way I got it the very first time I came here, so I thought this is how I should get it, but it's ok no worries, she rolled her eyes as she turned around I was oh my. But this girl I believe her name is Alicia she was super nice , and polite . THUMBS UP FOR HER.
In the past I gave them five stars but the last two times I went all the employees are new and they prepare the coffee badly, neither know the formulas or forget the ingredients. My last two thirsty Turtle Mocha finished n the trash can
Thirsty turtle mocha was recommended to me and let me tell you it is sweet bliss. Great place great atmosphere. You will not be disappointed. If i could give more stars I would definitely do it.
