Shipley Do-Nuts

My question is to corperate, why isn't something done about this location. We visited this location a few minutes ago on 8-27-2022 at 9am. We got off to eat inside and notice it looked unfinished and needing some TLC. I ordered the chocolate covered donuts and they were terrible, tasted days old. I returned them to the counter and told the lady they were very old and she went to the back to get two more no change. There is no possible way these donuts are fresh this is terrible. If the current management don't care then shipleys doesn't care either.

Damn I can't believe how expensive donuts are nowadays

As much as we love Shipley’s it pains me to write this review but I have to. The kolache was cold, the donut holes tasted like they were from 2 days ago and were super hard and cold, and the iced vanilla coffee tasted like water downed sugar water. I’ve tried this location a few times and I’ve always been disappointed. I’ll drive out of my way to the old league city store before I come back to this one.

They should change the name to "Day old donuts" my 6am donuts we out of the icebox, very bad first impression! They need to take a lesson from league city under the oaks.

Came to this location at 5am and ordered 2 kolaches and 2 hot glazed donuts.

The items I was sold were old and the donuts they claimed to be hot were microwaved from the day before. I do not recommend this location at all.

I went to buy a dozen donuts this morning expecting them to at least be somewhat fresh. Instead, these donuts taste like they have been sitting for over a day. They were very cold and hard to bite into. I will definitely not be coming back to this location. I have never had such a poor experience with shipley’s like the one i had here.

The kolaches here never meet the standard. The bread is always hard, feels and taste very old. Don't expect fresh donuts all the time. Rarely warm and fresh usually old.

Apple fritters are the bomb.. an the cheese and sausage kochi are awesome.

Don’t waste your time & money.

Not one to leave negative reviews. As others have said donuts taste old, milk was 1 day from expiration. Not what we’ve come to expect & love about Shipleys. Big disappointment.

If you come into dining room they’ll make you stand & wait while drive through gets priority. Ordered 1/2 dozen, received 5 donuts in our box. Employee argued with my husband that we didn’t need another even though we paid for it. Cake donuts are the size of a mini doughnut. At 9am & trash was overflowing, store was very quiet can’t imagine it filled up since they opened. Probably didn’t get taken out the day before. Bathrooms closed/out of order. Couldn’t make all this up.

Drive through was quick. However, each time I’ve gone there the donuts have been cold, hard and tasted days old no matter what kind of donut I’ve received. The creme ones I received where off and I spit it out before I could even finish chewing. I threw the rest away. Even my dog won’t eat them cause they were so hard. So disappointed. Will stick to the closer one by my house even though they have no drive through. At least there it’s always fresh.
